What to do with Eddie Lacy?
-
jmogDo I hold onto him in hopes his ankle gets healthy after his bye week or cut bait and start fishing for trade offers?
I can only start 2 RBs and right now I have Lacy, Ivory, Forsett, and Ingram. My two original starters (Forsett and Lacy) are doing the worst of the 4. I have been using Ivory though lately.
I could package Lacy and one of my WRs off my bench for a stud WR?
My WRs are Hopkins, J. Brown, M. Bryant, V. Jackson and we start 2.
Should I go after Julio who is 2nd in our league behind Hopkins? Or just stay put and let my depth at RB/WR carry me through bye weeks? -

If you could trade Lacy and any of those WR's not Hopkins for Julio I would easily do it. I don't think you're going to get much for Lacy though.jmog;1758080 wrote:Do I hold onto him in hopes his ankle gets healthy after his bye week or cut bait and start fishing for trade offers?

Azubuike24Anyone would be crazy to consider him even in a package for a top WR. If you can pull it off, do it. 3 of his next 4 games...at Denver, at Carolina and at Minnesota. When exactly is he going to turn it around?

TBone14If I have Julio Jones and somebody offered me Lacy and John Brown for him I would laugh in his face. You are screwed with Lacy. Nobody is going to give you near the value you paid or expect right now. If they do...take it and run.
Your best hope is he comes back after the bye healthy and if he has a couple decent games...you may be able to get value out of him. You are OK at RB...just hold him and if he comes back strong you have a good chip to deal later. -
jmogDo I bench him for other RBs until he starts to look good or keep playing him?
My team is naturally better this week because my first round pick is on bye and I don't "have" to start him. -
hasbeenJulio seems insane to ask for. There's certainly better options out there than what you have that isn't a top 5 WR. I'd attempt to reach those guys first.
But I agree that Lacy's value is low. -
Azubuike24You can't sell Lacy low unless you have 2 other solid RB's and really are willing to compromise with someone who is strong elsewhere. Like if you sucked at TE and someone offered you Eifert. Or you sucked at WR and someone offered you John Brown. A player on that level you might have to settle for...but you're also giving up any chance at ever recovering full value.

I would be starting Forsett and Ivory for the most part. I'm not a fan of Mark Ingram but it's tough to ignore that he has been solid this year. Good matchup vs Indy this week.jmog;1758280 wrote:Do I bench him for other RBs until he starts to look good or keep playing him?

Up until now I have been starting Lacy and either Forsett or Ivory based on match ups. I have been good at catching their good weeks so far. However, I do agree that even after the bye week, those two will start over Lacy until he turns around.TBone14;1758292 wrote:I would be starting Forsett and Ivory for the most part. Azubuike24Ivory is a top 5 RB in all formats. In PPR he's even higher. Ingram is up there too. If you're a team in limbo whether you will contend or not, I'd try to upgrade at other places and even if that means Lacy, you have RB depth.
I'm in a 2-keeper league with Cobb/Lacy as my keepers for the last 2 years...but I also have Gurley, so I'm trying to sell either of those guys for comparable value if I can. However, I'm 5-1, so it's hard to say I'm just going to give in. -

Our league is very competitive. Best record in regular season is usually like 8-5. I am 4-2 in the lead in my division and tied for best record. I am like 3rd in total team points as well.Azubuike24;1758309 wrote:Ivory is a top 5 RB in all formats. In PPR he's even higher. Ingram is up there too. Lacy has been the one weak spot. Here's my team.
Starters-
QB-Ryan
RB-Lacy
RB-Ivory/Forsett
WR-Hopkins
WR-J. Brown/M. Bryant
TE-T. Kelce
TE- M. Bennett (yes, we start 2)
D-Miami
I also have on my bench (on top of who I don't start among the couple options above)
Mariotta
Ingram
V. Jackson
K. Wright
My weakest spot has been Lacy, who will be benched from now until he shows something in favor of Ivory and Forsett.
Just was thinking of a way to get a second stud WR.
Oh, this is a 12 team league which explains why I have done well even with my top pick sucking when you look at the rest of my team. -
Azubuike24I mean, if you could get like Julio Jones for John Brown and Lacy, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Antonio Brown as well. A team who is weak at RB might be enticed by that. However, you certainly have the firepower to use a RB+WR to get a better WR, even if that means keeping Lacy and dealing one of the other guys.
