Who would you keep?
-
Lovejoy1984I'm in a 12 team .5 PPR, and will have the 6th pick in a snake draft.
Who should I keep?
Rodgers in the 1st
Megatron in the 2nd
Jordan Matthews in the 7th
Rest of my team sucks lol. -
SportsAndLadyRodgers. No brainer
-
Benny The JetRodgers. Mine, I've got 3 guys to choose from in PPR keeper league. Can only keep 2 of the 3. Between Mike Evans, Drew Brees, and Forsett. Pick 6th in 10 team draft.
-
Lovejoy1984What would you forfeit?
I'd probably keep Evans and Forsett, if you give up same round as they were drafted -
Benny The JetOurs is set up a little different. Each player is given a point value. If they were top 1-5 in total fantasy points scored at their position they're worth 6 points, 6-10 worth 5 points etc. We can only keep a combo of 15 total points. Brees is a 6, Evans and Forsett are both a 4. I'm already keeping Lacey who was a 5.
-
Lovejoy1984Do you get to see who others are keeping? Like will you know if all other good QB's are kept?

I'm keeping Matthews in a heartbeat.HighRoller74;1742722 wrote:I'm in a 12 team .5 PPR, and will have the 6th pick in a snake draft.

Aaron Rodgers = 1st round talent for first round pick
Megatron = 2nd round talent for second round pick
Jordan Matthews = 4th round talent plus potential breakout candidate for a 7th rounder
He's the only one you're getting value out of keeping, so you should go with him. -
Raw Dawgin' itRodgers is the least risky pick of the bunch and most likely to put up the most points of all 3, so I'd go with Rodgers.
-
SportsAndLadyKeeper league, Andrew Luck or AP?
-
lhslep134
Definitely the least risky, but keeper leagues where you give up a corresponding pick are evaluated differently. Risk is only 1 factor; value is a more important factor. Giving up the 6th pick for Aaron Rodgers is not good value. Giving up a 7th rounder for Jordan Matthews in a half ppr is GREAT value.Raw Dawgin' it;1746083 wrote:Rodgers is the least risky pick of the bunch and most likely to put up the most points of all 3, so I'd go with Rodgers. -

Which one of those players is guaranteed points on the board? I get the value aspect, but I'm keeping a guy who has the potential to put up over 30 points a game. Rodgers gives him the best chance to win, regardless of what round.lhslep134;1746194 wrote:Definitely the least risky, but keeper leagues where you give up a corresponding pick are evaluated differently. It's not "regardless of round" because he'd be giving up his first for him. Terrible logic.Raw Dawgin' it;1746221 wrote:Which one of those players is guaranteed points on the board? So if I was in a league with you and you had the 6th pick you would take Aaron Rodgers? LOL please join my league
The only reasons to keep Rodgers in the 1st would be in a 2 QB league or a league where QBs vastly outvalue everyone else. And even in the latter, an argument can still be made Rodgers in the 1st is bad value. -
IliketurtlesI'm with LHS... I'd keep Matthews and give up the 7th round pick. He is the only one you are adding value. But how long can you keep players for? If you can continue to keep Matthews for at least another 2 years after this one and still give up a 7th round pick each year that is even more value added for keeping him.

lhslep134
Not only that, but he could keep Matthews in the 7th and (probably) draft Rodgers at 6Iliketurtles;1746233 wrote: He is the only one you are adding value. -

Straight up with no associated keeper costs? Can you keep the player beyond this year?SportsAndLady;1746093 wrote:Keeper league, Andrew Luck or AP?
Without knowing those answers I'll still say Luck. -
Crimson streakI gotta pick 2 keepers of Rodgers, jimmy graham, and Julio jones. Rodgers is definitely 1. The other im torn about

Are you guys in Leagues where you can't keep someone beyond a certain amount of time? -
lhslep134
I was in a league that you could keep a player for a max of 3 straight years (I quit after 1 year because of money paying shenanigans)SportsAndLady;1746296 wrote:Yes and yes.

I couldn't be higher on Julio this year, so I say him. I don't think Jimmy is a bad option though, as he allows you to not have to think about TE at all.Crimson streak;1746286 wrote:I gotta pick 2 keepers of Rodgers, jimmy graham, and Julio jones. Rodgers is definitely 1. The other im torn about

Lovejoy1984I did decide to Keep Matthews, due to the value of the selection.
To SL, I'm probably keeping AD since I assuming that post people are keeping the other top backs in the league. And should be able to land another solid QB, hell even luck himself in the 1st/2nd. -
IliketurtlesFor S&L - I'd go Luck easily since you can keep him forever. And I've actually never played in a keeper league but I have heard of a lot that you can't keep a guy for more than 3 or 5 years straight.
For Crimson - I'd go Julio. I think he is going to have a monster year. -
Lovejoy1984
I'm leaning towards Jones. Graham's numbers/targets should drop in the running based attack. Whereas ATL is gonna sling it.Crimson streak;1746286 wrote:I gotta pick 2 keepers of Rodgers, jimmy graham, and Julio jones. Rodgers is definitely 1. The other im torn about

SportsAndLadyIt's actually not my decision lol it's my friend in my league's decision and he can't decide and has until tonight to make it. I would probably go AP.
