Who should I keep?
-
ohiobucks1Antonio Brown for a 5th
Cordarale Patterson for a 6th
Carlos Hyde for a 7th
Lamar Miller for an 8th
Brandin Cooks for a 9th
I can only keep one. Who should it be and why? I'm leaning towards Brown. -
SportsAndLadyWhat is everyone's obsession with cordarale Patterson? Guy is lousy unless you get return yard points.
You keep Antonio brown every time. Guy is a fantasy beast. -

This. My first thought was "how is this even a question"?SportsAndLady;1720230 wrote: You keep Antonio brown every time. Guy is a fantasy beast. -
ohiobucks1It's not, besides Hyde as an 8th, or maybe (less likely) Lamar Miller with a 9th.
I picked Cordaralle with a 7th last year thinking he wouldnt suck, he did. Wasn't really any option, I just put all my middle round guys. I like Brown because hes consistently a top 5 receiver, however, Carlos Hyde might go off this season, and so I was wondering would I get more points from a 6th round WR and Hyde, or an 8th round RB and Brown. I think brown, but I wasn't 100%!
Thanks for the advice, both of you. -
lhslep134No prob. Glad you started this thread though because I'll have to bump it back up in July/August when I'm wrestling with my options. The reason I don't know yet is I'm not sure what round my keeper candidates are projected to get drafted.

Fair. My league is weird, you have to decide by April 16th who your keeper is, because we pick our draft order based on Kentucky Derby Horseslhslep134;1720282 wrote:No prob. It's pretty wild. We also pick the order for who gets to pick which horse based on B1G football standings (everyone gets a random team), although next year weve talked about moving to a more random conference. Conference USA here we come.lhslep134;1720287 wrote:That's pretty funny. -

That's awesome. I may throw this out there for my league.ohiobucks1;1720291 wrote:It's pretty wild. It's a really fair way to do it. Plus you can never perdict the derby. I got the 3rd pick with a 45-1 longshot last year and the guy who had the #1 horse pick, had his horse retire the week before the race (we have to pick horse 10 days before race to make it interesting) so he ended up picking a horse that was 25-1, finished 5th.. -
jmogOur league used to have funny game challenges to figure out drafting order...at the draft.
One year it was a golf chipping challenge...with little kid plastic clubs and balls (closest to pin gets draft pick choice).
Now we do bag picks...we put the 1st and 12th pick in one back, the 2nd and 11th pick in another, all the way until the 6th and 7th pick.
The worst team from last year gets to pick what bag they want first, the best team gets last pick.
That is all done over emails long before the draft (while we are declaring keepers, we can keep 2 players only, and they have to be 6th round or later picks).
So going into the draft you only know you will be picking at one of two possible picks. I like to get the middle bag (6/7) so I can better prepare for the draft as 6 or 7 are rather close in what will be available.
