Week 1 Recap and Lookahead to Week 2
-
TBone14That other thread is going to get pretty hard to follow if we use it all year. Seems like we have more activity in the Fantasy forum than last year. I suggest a weekly thread to bitch/gloat about the previous week and discuss lineup options/waiver claims for the upcoming week.
1-2 last week for me.
My team that won went bananas. Every starter except Graham scored a TD. Scored the most points in the league with Romo (6pts) as my QB1.
Romo
Bell
Vereen
Marshall
Patterson
Graham
K. Wright
EJ Manuel- super flex
Had a chance to win another with a lead going into Monday night but the other team had Calvin and Allen yet to play and it didn't end well for me. -
SportsAndLady1-0
Not a great scoring week for me (107) but I'll take the victory. -
Raw Dawgin' it10 team ppr - 0-1. Minny and Atl had big scores but none for AP and Julio. If either of them got into the end zone i would've won. Not happy with my team this year, made some bad picks so we'll see how it turns out.
Cutler
AP
Gio Bernard
Julio
Crabtree
Olsen -
IliketurtlesWent 1-0 in my only money league. It was good see Ellington out there last night. Hopefully this foot thing doesn't become a huge issue. Vincent Jackson better step his fucking shit up this week thinking I might bench him in favor of Kendall Wright.
I don't have high hopes for winning in week 2 I have a tough matchup.
As for wavier claims I put in one for Forsett and Malcom Floyd. -
jmogMy starters consisted of Matt Ryan, DeMarco Murray, ADP (didn't do much), AJ Green, Michael Floyd, and Kyle Rudolph. I won big.
Oh, and next week I can play my backup defense against St. Louis (our league requires 2 defenses and 2 Ks on the roster). St. Louis is down to their 3rd option at QB now with Hill hurt. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLI went 4-0 in my leagues, my best roster having Matt Ryan, Julio, Calvin, and Antonio Brown. Won pretty large in that league.

How in the world did you get one of those 3 WRs in the 3rd round? Or was one a keeper? With 3 WRs like that I guess you can have shitty RBs.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1652289 wrote:I went 4-0 in my leagues, my best roster having Matt Ryan, Julio, Calvin, and Antonio Brown. Won pretty large in that league. -

If its a 10 team league I could easily see it. Brown went in the early-mid 3rd round.TBone14;1652294 wrote:How in the world did you get one of those 3 WRs in the 3rd round? Or was one a keeper? With 3 WRs like that I guess you can have shitty RBs. -

True. I guess I just assume 12 team leagues.Iliketurtles;1652296 wrote:If its a 10 team league I could easily see it. Brown went in the early-mid 3rd round. -
O-TrapLost in two of my leagues. The one I won in, I have:
QB: Manning (DEN)
WR: E. Sanders (DEN)
WR: M. Floyd (ARI)
WR: M. Crabtree (SF)
RB: E. Lacy (GB)
RB: A. Morris (WAS)
TE: T. Kelce (KC)
W/R: R. Jennings (NYG)
Bench:
B. Cooks (NO)
A. Boldin (SF)
J. Boykin (GB)
M. Lee (JAX)
A. Bradshaw (IND) -
Terry_TateWent 3-1 and the team that I posted on here that I and jmog thought sucked scored the most points in the league with 3 19 point scorers on the bench, lol. Le'Veon Bell had 30, Cordarelle Patterson, Kelvin Benjamin, and Jeremy Maclin were all pretty much 20 or above, and had a few other guys in the 15 range with San Fran's D getting 21. Best part was Foles only had 13 points so think other guys will go down but he can score 25-30 a game. Knowing the law of averages though I'll be a bottom 3 scoring team this week, haha.

TBone14Is there a way to edit thread titles? Clearly supposed to say, "Lookahead" and not, "Lookhead".
-
friendfromlowryI went 1-2. I was ahead until fucking Stafford stepped on the field followed by Rivers not doing shit.
Speaking of, I may be screwed this week. Rivers plays Seattle, and my backup (Alex Smith) plays at Denver.
Derek Anderson, Henne, Cassel, Carr, and Fitzpatrick are top available free agents. A couple of them didn't play half bad on Sunday. -
Iliketurtles
I'd go with Fitzpatrick or Henne both have good matchups if you're planning on picking a guy up for this week. Actually I'd probably just drop Smith and take Fitz.friendfromlowry;1652404 wrote:I went 1-2. I was ahead until fucking Stafford stepped on the field followed by Rivers not doing shit.

What round did you draft a QB that yours are such shit?friendfromlowry;1652404 wrote:I went 1-2. I was ahead until fucking Stafford stepped on the field followed by Rivers not doing shit.

Lovejoy1984My money league I was destroyed in.
Rodgers
Martin
Z. Stacy
Reggie Wayne
Fitz
Ben Tate
Martelleus Bennett
Rams D
Nick Folk.
THe fact that my RB's and Flex combined for 10pts was a long week.
Another thing that hurts was Matty Ice was riding the bench for me. -
jmogHighroller, I would be trying to trade high on Matty Ice quickly since you have Rodgers...use him to fix your RB situation.
My week 2 might be tough. I was the 2nd highest scoring team in week 1, I play the 3rd highest scoring team (we were separated by 2 pts).
I did sub in TB defense since they are playing StL who appears to have to start an undrafted rookie FA with Shaun Hill hurt.
His QB (Rivers) is playing SEA and my QB/WR are playing each other in hopefully a shoot out (Matty Ice and AJ Green).
I benched Keenan Allen since he will be playing SEA and Michael Floyd will start against the NYG defense that just got torched by DET.
I feel pretty good just based on matchups, but he does have Vernon Davis and in our league that can change everything. -
TBone14Giving up on the good fight with Devonta Freeman and dropping him for Ahmad Bradshaw in my Auction league. Waivers are week to week...last place is 1 and first place is 12. Lowest points last week after having Jordy and Harvin on Thursday. Charles and Jordan Reed were the disappointment of the week and Jeffery leaving the game early didn't help.

Step ahead of ya I think i have an offer in to every team lol.jmog;1652419 wrote:Highroller, I would be trying to trade high on Matty Ice quickly since you have Rodgers...use him to fix your RB situation.

Your WRs killed you too, Fitz looks like Arizona's #2 now as Floyd was targeted all over the place last night while Fitz was not targeted at all until late 3rd/early 4th Q.HighRoller74;1652424 wrote:Step ahead of ya I think i have an offer in to every team lol. -

Yeah, I "thought" after the draft my RB's would be able to carry my WR's, I think I'm in for a down year, unless I get some rebounds, or strike gold on the waiver wire.jmog;1652425 wrote:Your WRs killed you too, Fitz looks like Arizona's #2 now as Floyd was targeted all over the place last night while Fitz was not targeted at all until late 3rd/early 4th Q. -
slingshot4everAlmpost had high point in my standard scoring league until Victor Cruz only got 24 yards last night. Missed it by 5 points.

It is actually a 12-team league. Keeper league with auction draft. I kept Julio at cheap, drafted Calvin and Antonio as well as VJax. But yes, my RB's leave a lot to be desired.TBone14;1652298 wrote:True. I guess I just assume 12 team leagues. -

Lol knowing that its an auction league makes it a lot easier to see how you got them. Let alone one of them being a keeper. I love auctions drafts Brown always goes way cheaper than he should.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1652484 wrote:It is actually a 12-team league. Keeper league with auction draft. Yeah, it's a 0.5 PPR league, so I wanted to have at least 3 guys that are going to be around 100 receptions. IMO, more opportunity=more success.Iliketurtles;1652564 wrote:Lol knowing that its an auction league makes it a lot easier to see how you got them. Let alone one of them being a keeper.
