To chop or not to chop

so my team ended up the year at 7-5-1 and the guy im playing for the title is 6-5-2. we both had good weeks and knocked out the two "best" teams in the league. honestly at one point this year i was going to give up when my team was 2-4-1. so im reall just happy to be around the guy im playing i tied him and beat him during the year. this week we would have tied at 133.
the payout for our league is 700-350-150

He proposed to chop 450 each and then play for 150 or take 475 each and play for 100.

Do your leagues chop? Should i just play it out? really i would be happy w the 475 or 575 im thinking. I really dont want 350 tho its closer to 3rd place money than it is to 1st.

Chop, his team is better than yours with Brees and ADP.

Edit: My league does not allow this at all.

I'd chop and play for $100...My guess would be his time wins, but it's pretty close given the matchups, and I'd much rather have close to $500 rather than potentially getting stuck with $350.

I was undefeated last year up until the championship game -- My team was just full of studs, but I also had problems with resting players and bad matchups for the championship game.

My opponent proposed chopping, and I agreed, even with the undefeated record. we both got like $200 and played for the extra $50 or something like that...I ended up losing, so it worked out for me.

We dont allow chopping. But since you do, I would. I think his team is slightly better than yours, but I see it as a pretty even match-up.
