Should I Make a Trade?
-
thePITman10-team league, I'm 4-0 soon to be 5-0 as long as JJ Watt doesn't score 12 points tonight.
Another league member (near last place) posted "Desperate - need a running back." I have plenty of RB's:
Ray Rice
Jamaal Charles
Frank Gore
Rashard Mendenhall
Do I consider trading him a RB in order to strengthen another position of mine? I have inconsistent Vick (and Fitzpatrick) at QB.
Here are my WRs, all of which are feast-or-famine just about every week:
Jordy Nelson
Dwayne Bowe
Eric Decker
James Jones
I also have Antonio Gates at TE, who has vastly underperformed this year.
Here is what he has. Let me know if you see any viable, realistic trade options, or if I should keep my team solid and ride the wave I'm on. Sometimes trading to improve is nice. But I want to be careful not to trade away my RB depth and therefore make my team worse.
He has:
QB: Alex Smith, Tony Romo (So "no" to a QB)
WR: Marques Colston, Larry Fitzgerald, Danny Amendola, Dez Bryant, Malcom Floyd (some good options)
TE: Owen Daniels (meh, not really interested)
Thoughts? -
SportsAndLadyOwen Daniels is actually a good TE option...but you have to get at least one of those WRs. I'd offer Mendenhall and Gates for either a) Daniels and Amendola or b) Amendola and Colston

Gblockseemed like jjwatt got more than 12 points?

Isn't Amendola out for 6 weeks? He just broke his collarbone. They said it almost punctured his trachea.SportsAndLady;1290935 wrote:Owen Daniels is actually a good TE option...but you have to get at least one of those WRs. Laley23Amendola is out for at least 6 weeks. Id pass. Ligament damage to the shoulder should limit his production, even when he comes back.

Hmm, interesting. What if Antonio Gates turns it around? Would I be regretting it later, getting rid of Gates? But how about Owens and Colston for Mendenhall and Gates? I don't want to pick up a WR that is out for half the rest of the season.SportsAndLady;1290935 wrote:Owen Daniels is actually a good TE option...but you have to get at least one of those WRs. Watt got 10 points, so I won by 2.50.Gblock;1290953 wrote:seemed like jjwatt got more than 12 points? -
SportsAndLadyYeah I didn't know Amendola was out that long. But I still think any combo of one of his WRs and Daniels for Gates and Mendenhall would be a good trade for you. You're always going to start Rice and Charles at RB1 and RB2, respectively.
WR, Jordy is going to come around they're starting to get him in the offensive gameplan. When they go away from Jordy they lose. 6 catches for 84 yards, 8 catches for 93 yards and a TD in their two wins. He's never had a good game in a loss. Then you add one of his WRs (preferably Fitz or Colston) as your WR2.
For flex you can pick between Gore (hell of an option at flex), Bowe, or Decker for the flex spot. Plus you upgrade your TE position.
No brainer.
