Would You Trade..

RGIII for MJD? Or should you ask for the pot to be sweetened.
  • gorocks99
Do you have a backup QB on your roster or would you need to pick up someone off the wire?

    I have Tom Brady
  • gorocks99
See if you can get a backup WR or something equivalent for bye-week depth, but overall I'd lean toward doing the deal. Even though RGIII has been very good the first four weeks Brady is probably going to be your man going forward anyhow.

    i would

Yes. But I might try to get someone better than MJD. The Jags offense is going to limit him to yards, and not many TDs. If another team needs a QB, you might be able to get a better value at RB (maybe even a smaller name than MJD that is better).

I asked for MJD and Doug Martin for RGIII

If he gives you that, hug him the next time you see him.

i would agree with that assessment...if you want that you should give him brady while he is on a good week, keep rgIII who i think may end up with just as many points when its all said and done as brady.

He countered MJD, Doug Martin for RGIII, Ahmad Bradshaw.

I know Bradshaw hasn't done much this year but I don't know if Doug Martin is worth him.

i wouldnt do that. tampa has been struggling martin only has 12 points in last two weeks in my league and i read where blount is going to see more work. bradshaw if healthy is on a much more prolific offense unless you think he will get injured again

He had a huge season last year and their offense is better this year.

I would do the intial deal. Keep in mind in 2 leagues I am 1-7 this year. So perhaps you might want to reconsider. Seems like a no brainer to me. You turn a guy on your bench into a stud RB. RG3 is great but its hard to ever start him over Brady.

also tampa is on a bye this week
  • se-alum
I would do the initial trade. MJD is 5th in my league among RB's in scoring, and that is after getting to camp late. Since you have Brady, I would do it in a heartbeat. However, the one thing to look at that we can't see is, how much does RGIII help his team in comparison to MJD helping yours?
  • sportchampps
    I'd take Mjd.
  • SportsAndLady
Would you all feel the same if the other QB was Schaub and not Brady?

Because I'm in that predicament right now.
  • Gblock
RGIII is in the top 3 or so in total fantasy points right now correct? who are your other backs? If you are shopping RGII i would put him out there to a guy who has foster, mcoy, ray rice first and see if they bite.
  • SportsAndLady
    Schaub
    Shady Mccoy
    Demarco Murray
    Andre Johnson
    Demaryius Thomas
    Percy Harvin
    Pettigrew

    Bench:
    Rg3
    Mendenhall
    Quizz
    Bennett (TE from NYG)
    Jeffry
    Titus Young
    Britt

Rg3 and Murray for Ray Rice/Foster?
  • Devilone
You can do better th MJD. But I'd hurry, once teams start seeing more film on RGIII that production may drop.
  • Gblock
i would def do rg3 murray for ray rice foster...

You're giving up a lot adding Murray, especially if you're in a PPR league. I'd go Rice over Foster.
  • Gblock
i thought you were saying for both...if its just for one of them i would say a straight up trade w out murray in the mix
  • SportsAndLady
I see what you mean but who cares if I'm losing Murray, my 2 RBs are Rice and McCoy lol

I'll try Rg3 and Mendenhall first..but honestly I like Mendenhall more than I like Murray...Murray can't find the damn endzone.

Their bye weeks are 7 & 8 so you're losing depth for 2 straight weeks by giving up Murray. Instead you'll have to put in someone from your terrible bench for 2 weeks.

So pass up the opportunity of having McCoy and rice because I have to find a plug in starter for 2 weeks?

By then ill probably have gotten someone off waiver who will put up 8-12 pts for me, im not too worried about it.
