Who do I bench in week 2 (and moving forward)? -- Adrian Peterson or Stevan Ridley
-
BigAppleBuckeyeIn my 16-team keeper league, we start 2 RBs. For the past several years, I never had to decide, it was always Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson. But now with Stevan Ridley looking like a stud on a high-powered offense (I started him over AP in week one), do I roll with Ridley or AP at RB2?
In week 2, the Pats are home vs. Arizona, while the Vikings are at the Colts. I tried trading AP on draft day, but his knee scared off the other owners. Would love your thoughts ... thanks. -
gorocks99I still start AP despite Ridley's great week last week. AP offers you known consistency - and should be able to get his yards against a shaky Indy defense. Ridley could have another great week, or his carries could go to Vereen, Woodhead, etc. Until Ridley shows that he can be a consistent big scorer, I'd go AP.

se-alumBoth could have nice games again this week, imo, it's a wash. What were their totals from last week, looks like they would be pretty close.

RotinajI think I'll be starting Ridley at the flex sitting nicks's ass on the bench until hes not hurt. I have Bryant and Smith at WR so with my luck this will work out horribly.

IliketurtlesI'd go AP for sure.

Raw Dawgin' itthat's crazy you have those 2 on a 16 team keeper league. Is there a length on how long you can keep each player?

I don't think its that's crazy to have both. Rice wasn't highly rated his first year in the league.Raw Dawgin' it;1268746 wrote:that's crazy you have those 2 on a 16 team keeper league. Is there a length on how long you can keep each player? -

Nope, no length restrictions. We keep 16 players each year, so usually the first round is all rookies.Raw Dawgin' it;1268746 wrote:that's crazy you have those 2 on a 16 team keeper league. Is there a length on how long you can keep each player?
When AP came out of Oklahoma, I traded Shaun Alexander for a 1st round pick (which became AP) as well as Willis McGahee and Chad Pennington.
Moved up in the draft a year later (from #13 to #9) to take Ray Rice.
Last year, I had no 1st round pick, but landed Ridley early in the 2nd round. Had some nice luck in drafts! This year, I went Justin Blackmon at #5, hope that pans out ... -
BigAppleBuckeyeSo as of now I am rolling with Rice and AP (and not Ridley) this week ... good move?

RotinajDo people in your league make a lot of trades? Doesn't seem like keeping that many would be very interesting.

Yes, there is a surprisingly high volume of trades. Rarely a blockbuster, but every once in a while there will be big trades. In our league, a decent #3 WR has a lot of value, so there are a lot of trades for marginal players.Rotinaj;1270021 wrote:Do people in your league make a lot of trades?
