So my league is transitioning to a Keeper League...

SportsAndLadyAny advice?
We just completed our second season and before this season we all agreed we'd make it a keeper league in year 3. We still have not decided on how many keepers. Do you think 2 is the best way? Everyone seems to think 1 would be good for the first year as a keeper. We're going to put it up to a vote soon, I'm the commissioner so I want to make sure we do this right.
Any other advice out there for keeper leagues? It's a pretty standard league so far; .5 ppr is about the only thing deviating from the norm. -
sportchamppsWere going to keeper next year as well let me know how everything goes

derek bomarI would try and keep what has the most value. I'm keeping Jimmy Graham and haven't decided on my 2nd... DeMarco Murray or Maybe go reach and keep Jake Locker as an undrafted FA... hopefully Hasselbeck dies.

SonofanumpThis is football? We do a "three years experience" for keepers. If you draft a player that year, he counts as one, you could keep three players that were just drafted. If you kept him from the previous year, that counts as two, so you could keep a previous year and a just drafted player. Or you could keep one three year player. After the fourth year, a player could no longer be kept and is tossed back into the draft. We have done this for going on 16 years now.

Interesting..and you prefer this way? -
SonofanumpYes I perfer the league setup the way it is, you get to keep a player for a few years based upon value.
