I'm in a league where whs average 30. It wouldn't miss me off but wr don't share the same luxury.

TEs are huge (usually 2 or 3 drafted in the first round).

Vick is huge, Newton has scored well.

RBs who are very active in the passing game are huge.

However, even with all that Brady is still the top scorer in the league so far.

Oh, and obviously those that have big play TDs are sought after.

The system was setup to do two things.

1. Make each offensive position (QB/RB/WR/TE) all equally important meaning the top guys at each position score about the same total points for the season. This usually works well.
2. Make it more like actual games. In that in a real NFL game, if one QB throws for only 200 yards and the other throws for 400 yards, that is not only "twice" as good when it comes to helping your team win the game. Having a HUGE game as an individual should be HUGE in fantasy as well. So we have a progressive/milestone scoring system. The big play TDs are to add the same "excitement" factor into FF as it does in the actual game.

Not as crazy as yours...but still different from leagues now.

That scoring would make QBs more important than any other position. Sounds like a league that was around in pencil/paper days where you had to look at box scores on Monday.

My odd league above has been around since 1997.

Our league used to be pencil/paper, the scoring system was much simpler back then.

I was in another league that was a "milestone" league similar to yours.

6 pts for TDs rush/rec
4 pts for TDs pass
6 pts if >100 yards rush/rec
6 pts if >300 yards pass

That was the whole scoring system for offensive players. Easy to calculate on Mondays/Tuesdays
