Just made this trade...thoughts?

lhslep134Giving up:
Ryan Mathews
Julio Jones
Chad Ochocinco
Getting:
Fred Jackson
Eric Decker
Robert Meachum
I think for the rest of the year, Jones will outperform Meachum or Decker but I trust Fjax more because I think Tolbert is a bigger threat than CJ Spiller.
I think it's also relevant the rest of my team (as in, don't have reliance on Mathews)
QB: Stafford, Cam
RBs: Lesean, Daniel Thomas, Blount
WRs: Fitz, Boldin, Wayne
TE: Pettigrew, Fred Davis -
IliketurtlesI like the trade. Getting Jackson for Mathews is a steal. Your pretty set at WR so giving up Jones isnt going to hurt and Meachum isn't really much of a downgrade. Decker even if he doesn't play much is an upgrade over Ocho.

stroupsI really like the trade especially getting meachem who is now the number 1 with colston gone

TBone14Good trade.
I just made this trade:
Give up:
Aaron Rodgers
Mike Thomas
Get:
Phillip Rivers
Dwayne Bowe
Darren Sproles (PPR and we get pts for return yards)
Thoughts? -
Iliketurtles
How much are you going to be playing Sproles? Getting Bowe for Thomas is alright since they both have been terrible this year. Rivers is normally good but Rodgers is the best and I don't think I would ever trade him. Im not too big a fan of your trade.TBone14;915541 wrote:Good trade.

Sproles should start every week for me. My other backs are Tim Hightower, Daniel Thomas and the Law Firm.Iliketurtles;915578 wrote:How much are you going to be playing Sproles? My WRs were Reggie Wayne, Deion Branch and Thomas.
So I really needed to upgrade those positions. Which I did. I don't think I lose too much. Rivers always starts late and Bowe has started this season exactly like last season. My gains from Bowe and Sproles over their replacements should make up for the difference between Rodgers and Rivers. -

Haha knowing the rest of your team that trade makes a lot more sense and see why you did it. I still hate the giving up Rodgers since Rivers has been kinda down so far this year. Can I ask how many people in this league?TBone14;915675 wrote:Sproles should start every week for me. My other backs are Tim Hightower, Daniel Thomas and the Law Firm.

PupJust made this one:
Give: Blount, Sims-Walker
Get: Steve Smith (Car), Thomas Jones
I was incredibly weak at WR with only one truly #1 in Roddy White. At RB I have AP, Shonne Greene and Micheal Bush. -

I like it, I'm not sold on Blount (and I have him) haha.Pup;915876 wrote:Just made this one:

In other news, I was offered this trade, took it. Thoughts?
Give:
Stafford
Pettigrew
Get:
Phil Rivers
Jimmy Graham
My lineup is now:
Rivers
Fitzgerald
Wayne/Boldin
D. Thomas
L. McCoy
J. Graham
F. Jackson (flex)
Was hesitant giving up Stafford because he was my gut feeling sleeper, but had to love the opportunity to get Rivers. -

If both stay healthy, I easily see Stfford having the better year. But Matt is a huge injury risk, so it could pay off big time. Its not a abd trade, especially with the injury risk, but I for sure think Stafford is the better fantasy QB.lhslep134;916072 wrote:I like it, I'm not sold on Blount (and I have him) haha.

12 teams. I didn't want to give up Rodgers (I made him 1st pick overall) but with how this season has turned out so far I needed to upgrade other spots.Iliketurtles;915875 wrote:Haha knowing the rest of your team that trade makes a lot more sense and see why you did it. 3 weeks and you guys are burying Rivers? He and the Chargers are notorious slow starters. Gates has practiced all week and that is big for him. He basically played 2 games without his security blanket. I can't put Stafford ahead of Rivers as a fantasy QB until he gives me a full season. Let's also keep in perspective who the Lions have played so far. 0-3 KC and Minnesota. The win in Tampa was nice but Stafford did throw a pick 6. Still put up great fantasy numbers in that one.Laley23;916080 wrote:If both stay healthy, I easily see Stfford having the better year. But Matt is a huge injury risk, so it could pay off big time. Im not Burying him. Just the Chargers seem to be running the ball a lot more then normal this year. And yes the Chargers start slow but Rivers normally does not.TBone14;916289 wrote:3 weeks and you guys are burying Rivers? He and the Chargers are notorious slow starters. Had to take the risk that Rivers will turn it around even if Stafford stays healthy...my trading partner is a huge Lions fan, and I wanted to extract more from him, but he made it known Ray Rice was untouchable and I don't need another WR.Laley23;916080 wrote:If both stay healthy, I easily see Stfford having the better year. I think my roster is in a significantly better place after my 2 trades, what do you think?
Before:
Stafford, D. Thomas, L. McCoy, Fitzgerald, Wayne, Pettigrew, Matthews....with Boldin/Ocho/Julio Jones/Fred Davis/Cam/Blount on bench
After:
Rivers, D. Thomas, L. McCoy, Fitzgerald, Wayne, J. Graham, FJax...with Boldin/Blount/Cam/Davis/Meachum/Decker on bench -

Who said anything about burying Rivers? I just think without injuries Stafford will put up better numbers. He has the best WR in the game on his team, at the very least top 3. Rivers doesnt. Gates is a very solid TE, but so is Pettigrew. Stafford has a more explosive RB catching passes (since rushing wont factor) and a more talented set of secondary WRs. It isnt so much selling on Rivers as buying on Stafford.TBone14;916289 wrote:3 weeks and you guys are burying Rivers? He and the Chargers are notorious slow starters. Sure they havent played the best teams. But they laid the WOOD to the Chiefs....probably more than any top offense does all year. They beat the 10 win Bucs. Lions have a solid team. I think they are better than SD, just play in a tougher division.
