The 2011 Fantasy Thread: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

  • BigAppleBuckeye
Thought I would spark a year-long thread. Refer ONLY to your fantasy team, and name the good, the bad and the ugly:

    WEEK ONE

The Good: Ray Rice. LOVE HIM. Needed both of his touchdowns to win week one (and both came against a "good" Steelers D)

The Bad: Mario Manningham. 4 catches and basically a non-factor with Eli on his back most of the game. Expected a big game.

The Ugly: Marques Colston. Out 4-6 weeks with a broken collarbone, AND I started him over Kenny Britt ... ughhhh.

    Week one...

The Good: Matt Forte. A mini-Faulk in that Martz offense.

The Bad: Kicker (Suisham) only gets one point? Ouch.

The Ugly: Lee Evans gives me a big fat goose egg. Thanks for nothing.

    The bad: My teams.

I am in four leagues...all with different players....0-4
  • jmog
The Good: I started K. Britt at the last minute on Sunday over Miles Austin (who still had a good game, just not as good).
The Bad: Jamaal Charles and the KC offense getting humiliated, the only saving grace for Charles was a late/garbage receiving TD.
The Ugly:Kolb had a good game to everyone on the team except Fitzgerald. I was supprised Kolb threw for so many yards with Fitz catching hardly anything.

Really overall my team was amazing this week. I even traded away Mendenhall and Amendola and received Wallace and Lynch on Wednesday night. Wallace had a great game, Mendenhall did not. Lynch was a throw in I didn't care, but Amendola might miss the whole season, 3 days after I unloaded him in the trade.

    My starting lineup was...

    Romo-great game
Charles-ok game due to the TD
    F. Jones-ok game due to the TD
    M. Wallace-good game
    Fitz-crap game
    Britt-unreal game
    Finley-good game
    K-who cares
    Bears D-amazing game

Romo, Britt, and the Chicago D were huge for me, the rest of the team was average.

The good: Ben Tate and Fred Jackson

The bad: Kerry Collins, Fitz, J Charles

    The Ugly: Falcons Defense

Thankfully I will still win this week due to my opponent not starting Steve Smith(Car) and Britt.

    Between the 3 teams:

The Good: Kenny Britt (not highest scorer, but a HUGE surprise)
The Bad: Steven Jackson (because he got hurt, and no other reason. His 2 carries were money)
    The Ugly: Dwayne Bowe
  • namod65
The bad for me was that Matt Ryan, Roddy White, and Frank Gore all combined for ZERO TDs. If that keeps up, I won't do very well, but the Falcons would be in bigger trouble lol. Hard to see that happening again for me.

    Team 1
The Good: Brees, Britt, Mccoy all over 30
The Bad: Peyton Hillis I guess
The Ulgy: nothing I scored over 200

    Team 2
    The Good: McCoy
The Bad:My Wr's Fritz Marshall and Ocho ( I'm guessing since its the 3rd quarter)
The Ulgy: Having Ravens D and Plax on my bench but Ill still win

    Still to go: Mcfadden
  • namod65
Well now I can add the good lol. Wes Welker with 28 points gives me a 87.7 to 87.5 victory! I was down by 20 going into this game with just Welker to play and my opponent had BenJarvus haha.
  • sportchampps
    well marshall turned out ok
  • killer_ewok
The Good: Wes Welker and the 28 points he got me.

The Bad: Matt Ryan's 10 points which amounts to dog shit at the QB position.

The Ugly: Not that I was expecting a huge game from Rashard Mendenhall but 3 measly points??? Also, "ugly" was the fact that Tom Brady dropped a 58 spot on my fucking head last night with Aaron Hernandez helping him out.

All that combined added up to a 143-127 loss for my Jimmy Graham Cracker fantasy squad.
  • stroups
    The good: brees and welker

    The bad: D. Williams

The ugly: needed 4 points from Moreno to win last night and only got 3 so I tied. Don't fumble the ball you bitch
  • BigAppleBuckeye
I had a huge lead going against Brady and Welker. Still had a solid lead late in the 4th quarter. Then .... GRRRRRR
  • Wooball
    Team 1:
The Good - Mike Wallace, Desean Jackson, Kenny Britt, Robert Meachem, Jacoby Jones and Brian Hartline make me happy at WR
The Bad - Danny Amendola out 6-8 weeks
The Ugly - Nothing in week 1. Vick, RunDMC and Benson all had good games

    Team 2:
The Good - Lesean McCoy and Mike Wallace looked like #1's. Robert Meachem and Jordy Nelson give me depth at WR
The Bad - Jeremy Maclin is not up to speed yet
The Ugly - My QB's scare the shit out of me, and they play against each other next week. Eli v Bradford
  • McFly1955
The Good: Everyone but Matt Ryan
    The Bad: Matt Ryan
    The Ugly: n/a
  • BigAppleBuckeye
    WEEK TWO

The Good: AP and Kenny Britt, huge games led me to a big win!

The Bad: Mario Manningham (for the 2nd straight week). His muff of that sure TD cost me a cash bonus for high scorer this week

The Ugly: The Philly defense, which got throttled on the ground by Atlanta. So much for a "sure thing" this year.
  • Laley23
    All 3 leagues combined:

The Good - Britt, McCoy, ADP, Megatron, Somehow being tied 117-117 after SNF with all players done, then waking up and winning 119-116 (now 2-0 in money league)

The Bad - Felix Jones/Brandon Pettigrew/S-Jackson getting/being hurt, Maclin on the fucking bench (still pulled out that 3 pt win)

The Ugly - Not much. Dwayne Bowe losing Charles on the offense will end up being ugly I think though.
  • gorocks99
The Good: Jahvid Best, welcome to the league (again)! 24 points, Detroit offense looking all juggernaut-ish.

The Bad: I guess I'd have to say Jermichael Finley, who still doesn't have a TD catch this year.

The Ugly: Mike Williams and his big fat -4 yard performance. WTF. That's not WR1 material.
  • Iliketurtles
The Good: All my RBs besides Charles

    The Bad: Chad Henne

The Ugly: Losing Charles for the year.
  • jmog
The Good: My team is 2-0 and the 2nd highest scoring team so far.
The Bad: Austin Miles will miss 2 weeks.
The Ugly: Jamaal Charles is gone for the season.

The next few weeks will be rough for me, especially as bye weeks start.
  • Wooball
    Team 1:
The Good - Lesean McCoy, Mike Wallace and Jason Witten. Move to 2-0
The Bad - Jeremy Maclin, Fred Jackson and Eric Decker on my bench, but I won anyways
The Ugly - Frank Gore averaging 2.5 ypc

    Team 2:
The Good - Mike Wallace, Kenny Britt, RUNDMC help move me to 2-0
The Bad - Desean Jackson held to 2 catches for 21 yards
The Ugly - Mike Vick spitting blood and questionable for week 3
  • BigAppleBuckeye
    Week Three:

*The Good: Victor Cruz!!! Started him due to injuries to Manningham and Colston, man did that gamble pay off!

*The Bad: Santonio Holmes ... one catch? One f-cking catch? Come on!

*The Ugly: Kenny Britt, out for the season. My team has been crushed with injuries this year.
  • gorocks99
    Good: Jermichael Finley; 'nuff said.
Bad: Mike Williams continues to show he is not WR1 material. Thanks dude.
Ugly: Houston's D. Didn't want to drop them and spend $ on a waiver transaction, and I expected them to get shelled ... but didn't expect 40 points from the Saints. Big ol' goose egg.
  • McFly1955
    week 3:

The good: Wes mother-effin Welker, Ray Rice, Lesean McCoy, Mike Wallace,
    Jimmy Graham

    The bad: Philly D

The ugly: Britt getting hurt, only .5 points.

Still winning 132 to 73 with Grossman still to play, my 'all play' record for the entire season (your score compared to the entire league each week) is 33-1.
  • Laley23
The Good: Not much. Calvin Johnson continues to kill it.
The Bad: Everyone else on all my teams, sans LeSean McCoy in 1.
The Ugly: Maclin and Britt injuries. Britts is devastating as its my money league, which I had a killer team. Still do, but with Britt AND Maclin out, im left with Calvin Johnson and Bowe who is on a shit team. Need 30 pts from Witten tonight to move to 3-0.
