Rate my team (Giving the OC a second chance)

  • Pick6
So, last year on here I asked the OC to rate my team, they said it was pretty bad, and I ended up winning my league. (Sorry guys not going to let you live it down ;) .) So I'm giving you another chance.

    QB-Matt Ryan, Donovan McNabb
WR- DaSean Jackson, Kenny Britt, Malcolm Floyd, Hines Ward, Michael Crabtree
RB- Jamaal Charles, Shonn Greene, Ryan Grant, Ronnie Brown, Jason Snelling
    TE- Jason Witten
    D/ST- Eagles
    K- Janikowski

I'm pretty satisfied overall. Would have liked my WR corps to be a bit better but oh well.

Haha Pick6 I was waiting for a thread from you :)!

As for you team I like your team last year more than this one if that tells you anything lol.

Matt Ryan will be good still will probably score 3-5 less then the top 7 QBs.
Love the Charles pick, Im not a fan of Greene but he should be a good #2, I think Grant will lose the starting job to Starks(if he ever stays healthy), Brown and Snelling backups who won't see much action.
Not a fan of your WRs, Jackson should be alright but I just don't see him as a #1 WR. Britt and Floyd are a nice #2 and 3. I don't think Ward or Crabtree will really do much this year.
    Love your TE/Def/K

Of course like last year your guys could have breakout great seasons and youll win again lol.

I wanted Rivers (got Jackson back, and the Chargers dont have much of a running game anyways) or Rodgers (has been my QB the past 2 years). But I'm happy with Ryan. Seen he threw something like 40 times in one half during one of the preseason games and the Falcons have White, Jones, Gonzalez, and Snelling to throw to out of the backfield. I expect him to be a top 3 fantasy QB this season.

Took Charles with my 1st pick at #3..was kind of hesitant, but had him last year as well. Do I expect him to do as good as last year? Chances are he won't. Hopefully he will be somewhere near.

Greene was another guy I had last year as well. He's going to be the feature back and the Jets are going to run. As long as he doesnt fumble he will be on the field and putting some big point up for me.

Not sure about the Grant situation, all I know is he is healthy again and the 09-10 season, he was pretty damn good. Dont see Starks doing anything but splitting a little bit of time with him.

Ronnie Brown- dude is good. He will get his time. And could be wrong, but I recall McCoy having some injury issues in the past.

Snelling is used a good amount by the Falcons. Turner is old and chances are he will get hurt like always, so that will only help me with Snelling.

DeSean Jackson...Im expecting the Eagles to pay the man. He hasnt played very good in the preseason, but hopefully he will get back to last seasons form. Big plays, touchdowns, and more big plays and touchdowns.

Britt was injured half the season last year and still put up pretty decent numbers. He's their #1 guy, but iffy on how many looks he will get. Titans just paid Johnson, so I expect them to attempt to get their monies worth, until he gets injured anyways.

Floyd had a big year last year, mostly due to Vincent Jackson being gone for almost all of the season. Hopefully his productivity will stay up.

Crabtree was more of a later round value pick, that imo, has the potential to put up some points if he can ever get and stay healthy.
Ward was my last wr pick..more of a value thing. Should put up average points. Dont expect much from him, hopefully never have to use him.

Witten, 8 straight pro bowls, reliable, and tough as hell. Need I say more.
Janikowski-has a hell of a leg and always gets chances. More chances=more points
Phili D- I obviously got one of if not the top defenses, even though that usually isnt my style. I like to drop/add defenses weekly depending on matchups. I actually used the Browns defense to win a lot of games last season (no joke). Maybe I'll look to trade them for another WR or RB. Really wanted Dez Bryant.

Yes, it is raining out and Im done with class. So I wrote a little breakdown for each of my players lol.

Like the Ryan pick. I think he has a great year, but they still are a balanced offense, so he wont be a top 7 QB.

Love Charles. I think he and McCoy are poised to be top 5 backs for the next few years. But I dont really like the backs after that. Greene and Grant could be good, but just kind of eh. They are risky, given the fact that if they are good they still will just be bottom end #2s.

WRs are solid, but no #1. Jackson will have huge weeks, but then can be a reason you lose because he isnt consistent. I love the Britt pick. Im high on him (relative to most draft spots) because he finally has a proven QB throwing him the ball. Ill be upset when Locker gets the starts during the playoffs though. Crabtree is eh. He is like 4th on depth chart right now, but did show some big flashes last year. Floyd has a great couple weeks, but that seemed to be about it last season. Now Jackson is back and Gates is healthy (for now).

Love Witten this season and K and DEF are solid...but they are so unpredictable that who really judges a team off it lol.

McNabb is a tremendous backup who could be a sleeper should Ryan not be all that.

Backfield is ok but I dont think you can win with that receiving corps. Only one true game breaker and he isnt even a big catch numbers guy. Still in a contract year he's a solid pick

RB are very good. Starks will be a sleeper starter before end of year imo.

WR are pretty weak really. Even if Lloyd does what he did last year (he wont) they are weak. Rice just doesnt have a QB throwing, and Steve Johnson is also a wild card without a QB.
  • jpake1
I love my RB's. I'm content with my WR. They aren't sexy names, but they were very efficient last year with the same QB's throwing to them. I might try to package one of them with Starks to a team with weak RB play.
  • Iliketurtles
jpake I really like your team. I agree with your take on your WRs Lloyd will still be decent and get 1000 yards and should have a bunch of TDs(8-10). Johnson will be good and put up similar stats as last year if not better with Evans gone. I love your RBs. Fred Jackson will be a great sleeper and Starks will be pretty good and most likely be the #1 in GB by mid season.
  • jpake1
I really like my team, I'd like it more if I can package a deal for a better WR. I'm happy with Barber being my #4 because I think he gets a few goal line carries.
  • Laley23
BTW, Rice isnt in Minny. Since you said they had the same QBs throwing to them. Im sure you know that, just making sure since he is in Seattle with Charlie Whitehurst and Tavaris Jackson manning the position.
  • jpake1
I meant my starters. Rice is a big wildcard that I'll just sit back and watch.
