Week 16, the FINALS!
-
j_crazywinner takes all in the finals for my league. Remember this is a full keeper league so when you see the team I'm playing bear in mind that the guy didn't just draft all these studs this year, he's been shitting gold nuggets in the draft for years.
My Team (7-6 regular season, 0-2 head to head):
QB: J. Freeman, E. Manning
WR (start 2 and 1 WR/TE flex): B. Marshall, B. Lloyd, D. Bowe, P. Harvin, M. Williams (TB), A. Collie (who I'll likely drop/trade in the offseason)
RB: M. Turner, R. Rice, T. Jones, M. Forte, F. Jackson
TE: A. Hernandez
K: D. Carpenter
DEF: NYJ, Baltimore
His Team (9-4):
QB: M. Schaub, M. Ryan, M. Stafford
WR: A. Johnson, G. Jennings, S. Johnson, J. Gaffney, S. Smith (Car), M. Floyd
RB: C. Johnson, A. Peterson, J. Forsett, D. McFadden
TE: Z. Miller, O. Daniels
K: D. Akers
DEF: Philadelphia
I think I have some good matchups this week but I'm not sure it will matter. -
WooballI squeaked into the playoffs via a tiebreaker with a 7-6 record
won in the wild card round, then my team erupted last week. I have basically only 1 question this week, and its at QB: Eli Manning on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field or Sam Bradford in the Dome against San Fran
RB - McCoy, Torain
WR - Maclin, Wallace, MSW - I also have Jacoby Jones and James Jones who both have playing OK lately, but don't think I will start them over Sims-Walker.
TE - Witten (been in beast mode the last 2 weeks) -
MulvaI think this is the first time I've ever made my FF championship. I always dominated basketball and was solid in baseball, then my teams just sucked in football. Went 10-4 in the regular season... started 10-2 and lost 2 straight before the playoffs. The Steelers and Ravens playing each other week 13 killed me because Rice, Mendenhall, and Wallace were all held in check.
Rolled through the semis 114-85 though.
QB: Rivers
RB: Rice, Mendenhall (Beanie was my 3rd round pick... needless to say I only start 2 RBs at this point)
WR: Mike Wallace, Driver, Crabtree
TE: Z. Miller or Pettigrew
K: Akers
D/ST: San Diego -
BigAppleBuckeyeNeed help in my Super Bowl matchup!
Pick one: Santonio Holmes vs. Chicago OR Mario Manningham at Green Bay
Pick one: Adrian Peterson at Philly (if he plays, will he only play one series??), Toby Gerhardt at Philly or Danny Woodhead at Buffalo -
j_crazyJeez BAB. that's tough.
I'd go with manningham and gerhardt/peterson.
only because you never know what will happen with NE. woodhead could go off, or welker, or hernandez, or gronkowski, or BJGE, or Branch... -

Woodhead. Gerhardt will most like get the majority of the carries but he doesn't seem to be anything special as of yet. Peterson would be the choice if he was healthier. -

Wow... your team sucks compared to his. -

Should have listened to you bigdaddy ... Woodhead is going nuts on my bench, now I have to wait till Tuesday to decide between Peterson and Gerhardt. Ughh.
Also, thanks Ray Rice. Prick. -
lhslep134I won!!
Rodgers (but I had Freeman on the bench so it was a moot point 44 pts versus 41)
Charles
Foster
Mcfadden (flex)
Owen Daniels
Garcon
Desean (hasn't played yet obv)
Gould
Panthers (forgot they played Thurs night)
luckily Rivers, V Jax, and Reggie Wayne shit the bed because the rest of his team went off (especially Patriots D)
Feels so great to be Shiva Bowl champs this is my first championship in football (I've won bball and baseball before). -

129 - 43 I'm up.
granted he has M. Ryan, Akers and Philly going.
I think I'm going to win.
I love that AP might not play so he was forced to play DMC who sucked. -

Congrats! I was up decently big, then Aaron Rodgers, Kellen Winslow and even Jordan Shipley scored 5 quick TDs against me, now I am down 214-178 (we have a unique scoring system). He has LeSean McCoy left, I have three guys left: Marques Colston, the Philly D/ST and either Adrian Peterson or Toby Gerhardt (whoever starts). Will be a photo finish! If I went with my gut and started Danny Woodhead, who scored 40 on my bench, I would be winning right now ...j_crazy;614156 wrote:I think I'm going to win.

BigAppleBuckeyeNeed a decent game out of Colston in my big money league ... Saints up 10-0 in the 2nd quarter, Colston with zero catches, including a drop of a 40-yard pass. Just amazing, my team constantly shits the bed. Need a huge second half.

j_crazy131 -58 I'm leading. He has Akers and Philly's Defense tonight. I've got the champagne primed and ready.
I feel like I should point out that I've won this league 3 times in 10 years. Considering 12 teams every year and over 20 people have come and gone from the league (though a core of about 8 of us stay the same every year) that's pretty friggin impressive.
