Week 15 Chatter thread

  • BigAppleBuckeye
Just need to vent ... I am in my Final Four of my big money league, decided to bench Manningham in favor of Kenny Britt. Granted, Britt does have 90 yards through 1 quarter, but Manningham has 4 catches for 88 yards and 2 TDs on my bench.

So far, my opponent is having a poor start from Owens, Desean Jackson and Arian Foster, but I am sure that will change ...

I'm in the middle of a low scoring dogfight. No production for me from Foster, Desean, or Owen Daniels, but he's not getting anything from Dwayne Bowe, Boldin, or Lesean.

It's gonna come down to Joe Webb and Run DMC for me versus Jason Campbell/Matt Bryant for him in the later games.

Thankfully, my boys Ray Rice, Jason Witten and even Kenny Britt stepped up! Knock on wood, looks like I am moving on to the Super Bowl ...

That Desean punt return TD essentially put me in the finals along with Jamaal Charles' 80 yd run. I'm up 20 with 2 guys going on each team left it's over

Lol, just completed my best week of fantasy football ever. I'm leading 175-53 with my opponent having Matt Forte left tomorrow. Our league has pretty generous scoring, hence the high total. I went with:

    Matt Schaub
    Miles Austin
    Danny Amendola
    Mike Williams (TB)
    Ray Rice
    Steven Jackson
    Owen Daniels
    Matt Bryant
    San Diego Defense

    BAB,

My decision to play Joe Webb won't matter. I clinched a spot in the championship with Webb left to play. I'm still interested to see if he gets more points than Holmes.

Congrats ... either way, Holmes didn't do much, so chances are you made the right call.

I clinched a Super Bowl spot, so I decided to start Woodhead tonight instead of AP so I don't have to check his status tomorrow tonight (will be at my holiday party, don't feel like worrying about it). Had my best week of the year this week! Hopefully they have some gas left for next weekend's Super Bowl.

I have the most points in the league this week with Manningham on my bench. Of course this comes a week after scoring 75 points and being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Matt Cassel essentially fucked me twice as I have Jamaal Charles as well and last week was his worst game of the season with Brody Croyle behind center and 10 men in the box.

Yeah man that blows. I put up my lowest total of the year last week with Aaron Rodgers injured but luckily I had a bye so it didn't matter.

That's a good plan, I hate being somewhere and having to worry about fantasy performance.

My team has been pretty average all season and I grabbed the last wild card spot in my 12 team keeper league. I won a low scoring game last week, then my team exploded this week for 174.3. It is PPR
Eli, McCoy, Torain, MSW, Maclin, Mike Wallace, Witten, Chargers, Crosby

I'm up by 102 points and my opponent has Forte and Bennett going tonight. I'm headin to the 'ship.

Haha. This was the first year of a keeper league. It has a salary cap of 30 years of contracts, and you sign your players to any length of contract to fill up your cap. So some young guys got drafted a little higher than in a normal draft. I had like the 7th or 8th pick out of 12 teams.

I took: Frank Gore, Randy Moss, Lesean McCoy
Gore was solid, but is out for the year. And Randy Moss died after week 3. Moss killed me all year. I took a shot at him in middle of round 2 because the other top WR were taken. Luckily, Wallace and Maclin have basically been #1's for most of the year to save me.

I was projected to lose by 15 pts and I am going to end up winning by 40 to make it to the next round.
