Should I make a trade?
-
SportsAndLadyMy team:
Kyle Orton
Ben Roeth
Randy Moss
Andre Johnson
Steve Johnson
Mike Wallace
Jacoby Jones
Lawrence Maroney
LT
Thomas Jones
Knowshon Moreno
Jermichael Finley
Should I trade Andre or Moss to upgrade my running backs? And if so, whom should I go after? -
I drain 3'sTough to say. LT has been playing great, and Thomas Jones has put up decent numbers so far. Moreno could be a pretty good play once he comes back healthy as well. Thing is, if you trade Moss or Johnson, it leaves your WR's pretty weak, IMO. Wallace's numbers could improve once Roethlisberger comes back though. What's your record? Unless your falling behind and it's an absolute must to make a move, I'd probably wait another week. See how Ben and Wallace perform.
Also, i'm assuming it's a one QB league. Both of them are pretty good. Could use Orton as trade bait if you wanna start Roethlisberger since his bye week is already passed. Then just pick up a back-up off of waivers. -
SportsAndLadyYeah 1 QB league.
I'm 2-2, 5th place out of 12 teams. -

I would consider it. I wouldn't be confident in any of your backs for the whole season. I wouldn't bet on LT making it all season, and Jamaal Charles is there with Jones. Just my opinion though. I would trade one of your RB's and maybe Moss for the right elite RB. -
Laley23Yes if you can manage it. Johnson you need to keep though, he is too valuable. But if you can manage to swing Moss, Id do it.

SportsAndLadyWhat could I realistically get for Moss and one of my backs (not LT) though? I was thinking about trading for Stephen Jackson or Ray Rice...are those trades bad for them? Are SJ and Rice far more valuable than Moss + average at best back?

With the Pats, yes, I think Moss has almost lost top 10 WR status. With the Vikings, it remains to be seen.
