Insane Fantasy Trade Help
-
DeyDurkie5Alright, I'm getting involved in a fantasy trade and need some advice. It's a big one so hang with me....
My team at the present moment
Starters
- Matt Schaub
- Chris Johnson
- Rashard Mendenhall
- Ahmad Bradshaw
- Jeremy Maclin
- Mike Sims Walker
- Mercedes Lewis
- Eagles Defense
- Stephen Gowstkowski
Bench
- Braylon Edwards
- Kyle Orton
- Owen Daniels
- Fred Jackson
- Louis Murphy
- Hakeem Nicks
Alright...so the first trade is Chris Johnson, Jeremy Maclin, and Mike Sims Walker for Peyton Manning, Deangelo Williams, Pierre Thomas, Calvin Johnson, and Tony Gonzalez. I am going to do it, and then trade with another guy who needs a qb and do...Matt Schaub and Rashard Mendenhall for Michael Turner and Arian Foster...
So my question is would you keep the team the same as it is, or would you do the first trade to set up the second one? By the way the first one is sealed if i want adn the second one is not confirmed but will be worked out and confirmed if the first one goes through. -
karen lotzI think you have to do both. You will end up improving at QB. Losing Johnson will suck at RB, but as a RB corp you will improve with Turner and Foster being collectively better than Johnson/Mendenhall. WR is also an improvement as you get rid of Sims Walker and pick up Megatron. Braylon Edwards has been solid so far this year for a #2 WR. Gonzalez is an upgrade over Lewis especially since Matt Ryan is playing well and is able to get him the ball. Same can't be said for Lewis. Plus if I'm reading this right, you'd have Williams and Thomas as your back up RBs?
I think overall its a no brainer for you to pull the trigger on both trades. -
DeyDurkie5What about if it is just the first trade? the 5 for 3 deal, woudl you still do it then?
-
Laley23I wouldnt do the first one only, because you are losing Johnson and not improving overall enough (getting Peyton is great, but having Schaub on the bench is a waste).
Now, the second trade makes the first great. Your team is better overall and the backups for byes are great. Turner is injury prone, but Thomas and Williams as back-ups? Seems like easy money to me. -
karen lotzYup, I agree with Laley, if you do the first one, you have to do the second.
-
DeyDurkie5Yeah, I know but it sucks because the other guy is being gay about the trade now...I am thinking of offering Schaub bradshaw and deangelo for arian foster and ronnie brown and see if he will do that
-
sportchamppsI would do the first trade anyways someone will need a qb when theirs gets injured
-
IliketurtlesI agree I'd only do the first trade if you can also do the second one.
-

Offered trade, I give Schaub Bradshaw Mendenhall Nicks for MJD and Marshall? -
karen lotzIs Jones-Drew banged up a little? If he is healthy I'd say that'd be a pretty good deal. Marshall is a good addition too.
Are you in a league with all girls or something? Some of these trades being discussed are mind boggling good in your favor. -
gcateCurious as to how many teams are in this league as well?
-
DeyDurkie5I took the first deal involving peyton and all that. I have schaub on my bench and am going to use him and one of my other rb's to get a reciever
-
sportchamppsMendenhall is better then MJD Schaub and Marshall are a wash only because u dont need to good qbs otherwise schaub is way better and ur giving nicks up for nothign thats a terriable trade. MJD hasnt done anything this year and his offensive is so bad they can fosuc on stopping just him. MJD is also having knee problems that is slowing him down.
