I scored 34.6 points in week 1; should i do this trade?
-
SportsAndLadyI was projected to have the 3rd best team in the league, I had a weird week one. Here's my team:
Kevin Kolb
Frank Gore
LeSean McCoy
Mike-Sims Walker
Malcolm Floyd
CJ Spiller
Tony Gonzalez
San Fran D
Nate Keading
Bench:
Justin Forsett
Devin Aromoshodu
Derek Anderson
Laurent Robinson
Legedu Naanee
I was just offered this trade:
Receive:
Ryan Matthews
Marques Colston
Send:
Frank Gore
Devin Aromashodu
I was the one who originally offered this trade; he turned it down, then immediately sent it back to me. So I got confused and need advice haha -
SportsAndLadyAnd I just got this trade offer in from someone else...
Receive:
Jerome Harrison
Mark Clayton
Send:
CJ Spiller
Either Legedu Naanee or Aromashodu
I can do both trades...if I do the first one, the guy who sent me the 2nd one will accept Naanee in place of Aromashodu. I dont wanna give up Naanee but...
Should I do both? lol -
Gblocki wouldnt do either one
-
Laley23Not first. Aromashodu and Gore will have better years than Colston and Mathewes imo.
Second trade I might consider. I like Harrison more than Spiller and I like Clayton more than Naanee. Aromashodu is Cutlers #1 guy though, he is going to be a really solid player this year. Naanee is a #2 and #3 if miraculously Jackson comes back which isnt likely I know. Clayton is a #1 on a worse team, but will get a lot more looks. -

Hmm, I thought the first one would be a no-brainer to take...looks like I won't be taking that.
And Aromashodu has Knox, isn't he the #1 target for Cutler? -
SportsAndLadyOkay since I denied the first one, this second offer is up to me. Should I do Spiller and Aroma for Harrison and Clayton? I think I'm gonna do it...
-
Laley23Aromashadu is Cutlers #1 now. Ended last year being the guy (last 4-5 games) and was Cutlers favorite target in the pre-season. He was targeted 11 times in week 1. I would seriously advise going with Naanee before Aromdfsjgh in that second trade.
Here is from Yahoo!
WR Devin Aromashodu was targeted a team-high 10 times against the Lions, and he had five catches for 71 yards. He also took a beating going over the middle and had two balls knocked loose from his grasp by vicious hits.
(Yahoo! Sports)
In 2009, he was a member of the Chicago Bears and finally got an opportunity for significant playing time towards the end of the regular season. He made the most of this opportunity by compiling 22 receptions for 282 yards and four touchdowns over the final four games.
In his absence, receiver Johnny Knox exhibited big-play ability from the slot and he was able to seize hold of the position, keeping Aromashodu on the inactive list for most of the games leading up to his breakout weeks.
Although it was injuries to Devin Hester (calf) and Knox (ankle) which ultimately got Aromashodu into the starting lineup over the final four games, it has been reported that quarterback Jay Cutler was lobbying offensive coordinator Ron Turner the entire season to get Aromashodu on the field for game days.
In fact, Cutler was praising Aromashodu the entire preseason, raving about his combination of size and speed, and also commended his ability to go up in a crowd and haul in the football. The rapport built between these two was evident during training camp, and during those final four games it was clear that Aromashodu was Cutler’s favorite target.
At 6’2” and 201 pounds, Aromashodu is currently the tallest wide receiver on the team. When considering that Cutler enjoyed the luxury of having 6’4” Brandon Marshall as a target during his years in Denver, it is no wonder that he appreciates the size of Aromashodu, since no other Bears receiver is taller than 6’0”.
Heading into 2010, Aromashodu is poised to have a fantastic season. New offensive coordinator Mike Martz will bring his pass-happy offensive scheme into Chicago which makes certain there will be plenty of passing targets to go around. While the depth chart has yet to be determined under Martz, it seems probable that Aromashodu will earn a starting role, and play on the outside. -
Laley23BUT, if he will still take Spiller and Naanee for Harrison and Clayton I would do it.
-
lhslep134I like the Harrison/Clayton deal.
I'm a big fan of getting a teams true #1, and harrison and spiller are both time share backs.
Naanee I can't be sold on. He's the teams #3 target behind Floyd and Gates and the only reason he had great stats was the BLOWN coverage TD. -
SportsAndLadyI did Aroma and Spiller for Harrison and Clayton...sorry laley, not sold on Aroma and that Bears' offense. Even if he is the #1 target there, I trust Clayton and that pass heavy offense in St. Louis over the Bears' offense with Forte, Knox, Olsen, and Hester.

It was a good deal. I thought you should do the deal, just with Naanee and not Aromashodu. -

Yeah I asked him, and he said he would rather have Aroma and was getting a bit uneasy, so I just pulled the trigger because I really want Clayton and Harrison. -

I think you'll see both pull away as the #1. Lynch will go to the Packers, and CJ will pick it up, he just had a bad week which you can probably dump the blame on being his first game in the NFL. As for Harrison, he'll definitely be the premiere back for the Brownies. If Hillis didn't fumble it twice I'd be worried, but no way can you continue to give him many carries when he's fumbling at that rate.
