Football games: Use point spreads or not?

  There has been a request to not use point spreads in college football games instead just use odds for each team to win straight up. I will do whatever the majority want. Poll will be open until Tuesday evening, then I'll put up the games for the week.

  Mix it up. Maybe on the closer games just go who wins.....but change the odds to make it work.
  
  I mean Texas vs Cuga Tech is going to be a 1/10000 odds if there are no point spreads.
  
  It'll take some playing.....but we'll get it.
  
  Maybe get a game where a team is a 3 point favorite but make them a 1-20 point favorite and raise the odds up to something far more interesting than 10/11

  most places won't allow you to bet without a point spread in games expected to be a blowout. i say keep the spread, maybe for the few real big games each week you could do both.

  I don't see how to vote. I made the request to not use point spreads. To me it is ridiculous to make a spread the point of a bet when it is not at all significant to the what the teams are trying to do on the field or the strategy of the game. If the favored team has a point spread of 13 and they have the ball on the opponents 2 yd line with 20 sec left with a 10 point lead they would not be trying to beat the spread!

  I like using the point spreads. Otherwise I'd just load up on all the cupcake games.

  IMO use the spread for college games, but for NFL games just do a pick 'em based on odds. it's damn near impossible to win ATS betting NFL games. and It's a bitch for karen and I92 to keep track of.
