Las Vegas Mayor Goodman rejects Obama invitation.

  • tk421
Remember when Obama used Las Vegas as an example of where not to go to save money? Well, the Mayor apparently wasn't happy. He said no to an offer to meet Obama. Good for him.

Eh, I see this as a no win situation.

    1) the LV mayor is being petulant and isn't helping his city.

    2) Obama's comments were beyond weird and would have faced more scrutiny had they come from any other President.

They need to bury the hatchet. LV isn't all that its made to be of a "sin city" and there is a reason why many businesses and organizations have their conferences there.

Good for him. Stand up for yourself when you feel it's the correct thing to do.

I don't think this is a "no win" situation for the Las Vegas mayor at all. His willingness to pass on the opportunity to genuflect in the Anointed One's presence is a royal flush...A win for Las Vegas and a whirlwind tour of the porcelain god for the Transparent Prez. :D

    Good for him.
I like the fact he doesn't need invitations when a simple phone call would do.

I don't see the Las Vegas mayor as being "petulant" over this.

His city has been verbally screwed over by the president -- twice.

Obama seems to think he can simply gloss over any of his mistakes and people will fall all over themselves to make nice. His ego knows no bounds.

I like the move...Goodman is kind of a doosh, though.

    I agree 100%

Obama only wanted a photo op to boost his boy out there (Reid) who is getting waxed in the polls heading for re-election, this along with the previous lambasting given out by the pres made this a no brainer.

In the real scheme of things. WHO CARES!! Oh, did not know Reid was getting beat already. Polls? Again; who cares
