$50 million more...California Suicide Net

  • iclfan2
Really? $50 million to keep people from jumping off a bridge? If they want to kill themselves they will! Let them jump. Geeeesh. And before you say anything Derek, I don't even know if it is democrat or republican sponsored, I just think it is stupid.

It's called The Bridge. A really haunting documentary. It was weird to watch the different ways people decided to jump. Some took their time and some just hopped over the railing and did it with no problems. Great documentary.

Here are the first 3 minutes...

There is a second bridge in the Bay area connecting to Oakland that's just as big. Don't think this is such a grand idea.

Apparently California thinks so to the tune of 500 hundred thousand grand.

I'm agree with Prescott, net or no net people will find a way to commit suicide. I guess doing it off the Golden Gate Bridge gives these folks one last moment of fame and attention.

They probably realize that ppl. will still commit suicide. They don't want bystanders witnessing it......That's my guess.

My God, Believer. That video was sickening.

California is the most ridiculous run place in this country, as if we all don't already know this. Their problems go far beyond suicide nets. THe Golden Gate bridge is only one of many in the Bay, so the jumping won't stop there.
For those who complain about your high taxes and school systems...in Cali, you pay your your property taxes, they take out the amount for schools, sen dhtem to Sacramento, divide them how they feel appropriate amongst the state, then redistribute them back to the state. So if you live in a very nice neighhood in a suburb in the Bay Area, with high property taxes, most likely your school tax money will be sent to LA to pay for translaters for the Mexican kids...fun stuff. California is ahead of the curve for the rest of the country on this one. Immigration is fun.

As opposed to Ohio's wonderful, unconstitutional school funding methods?
