Really good 90 minute Frontline episode last week called Digital Nation. It focuses on the good, bad and ugly aspects of how our technology and the digital revolution can completely engulfed and has changed our lives. Everything from facebook, to blackberries, to gmail, using computers in classrooms, multitasking, gaming and social networking.
The good, technology can give us information on a whole range of issues and allow us to fully interact with many different types of people. It also leads to new teaching tools.
The bad, it leads to multitasking, which could lead to younger generations not sharpening their analytic skills, ignoring books and other conventional research means, and writing styles have changed from long form to a more paragraph oriented writing.
The ugly, South Korea's complete addiction to video games and how it can damage young lives.
It is a really good documentary and makes you step back, and put down the iphone or crackberry.
