  I liked back in the Fall when Beck's hometown planned a big celebration to give him a key to the city, somewhere out in Wash state. The towns ppl were in an uproar after hearing of this. The overwhelming majority of his hometown ppl thought this was a joke and they didnt want his negative attention brought back to their small little town!!

  I think he should pay for (literally and figuratively) for any arrears that he has, and maybe lambasted in the process.
  
  However, I just don't care as much as I would if he were a politician that wants to command my taxes while failing personally.
  
  Maybe I'm just wrong-headed for thinking like that, though...

  Beck isn't an elected/appointed official in charge of collecting/spending tax dollars.

  This is where I disagree with Glenn Beck. The tax code is so big and bloated and complicated, its really easy, even for an expert to make a mistake. Lots of small mistakes are found during the vetting process for politicians and administration appointees. If a small error is found, pay it and move on. Its no big deal. Jowever, the government is also full of who either did not pay taxes or misrepresent their income. Those people should be exposed.
  Don't lose sight of the overall problem. Glenn Beck is a huge thorn in the side of the left and progressive movement on both sides of the aisle. He uses their recorded words and writings directlly so they cannot dispute the fact that they said them. He attacks the ideology, not the individual. The left will do anything they can, including personal attacks, to attempt to destroy him.

  I wouldn't go that far. Jon Stewart is a comedian with a political bend. He is way more prone to cracking joke about what is being said(especially gaffs) than pointing out the big picture and pointing out how something could damage or help the country. Beck goes into a whole lot more depth. He is a commentator who has a sense of humor.

  Giant Fail. Read the article, they are floating a scenario where he could have owed money. He was audited and ended up not owing a dime. Using the wrong form is much different than not paying taxes. Then of course I love the Workers Comp fine comment... then later it is stated they didn't owe any money.
  
  And of course, Politico is comparing this multi-layered Multi State and Multi-Million Dollar Company that is not entrusted with the public's dollars, to Geithner not paying taxes on his own paycheck, etc.

  Even if it were true that Glenn Beck is a hypocrite...it wouldn't change the fact that he might have a good argument. Besides, Glenn Beck hates the government...I wouldn't expect anything less than for him to cheat on his taxes.

  ...yet he uses his public forum(s) to slant stories even he knows there is a logical explanation for. I hold Beck, Limbaugh, & O'Reilly to the same esteem I do Olberman & Maddow...they'll do anything to a sound bite to make a sound bite of their own. These people make a living trying to destroy other people's lives in a public forum, and quite often are very irresponsible in doing so.

  None of these people you listed hold any political office. Their power to "destroy" lives as you say, pales in comparison to elected officials in government. You need to be more concerned with those in power over you in government than any of these people. If you don't like their programs you can simply press a button and turn them off and they will have no affect on you. If you don't like what your congressman is doing, well its not that easy.

  This was Beck's company not Beck personally. I am sure he has people in charge of taxes for the company and this would come down to them not him personally.

  I don't know about anyone else, but I've never heard the phrase, throwing stones AT glass houses. I always thought it was IN glass houses. If you are following the metaphor, throwing them at glass houses implies something completely different than IN glass houses. Thought I would add my 2 cents to a worthless topic.

  Without looking it up...I think the saying goes..."those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".
  
  With the underlying theme being..... payback will be a bitch. But I could be wrong though.
