I don't know if it is ignorance or arrogance, but these people are out of touch with most Americans.

I don't find this surprising. Like I've said before, no one in Congress gives a rat's ass about the common American. It's all about the power and money. The more perks they can get from us the better, the public just keeps on electing these fools. The fact that Pelosi is re-elected speaks for itself. The others R/D are the same, she's just the most vocal and scary.

I don't know...maybe they're "fools" but does it fit with our common experience to believe that everyone in Congress are all about power and money?

For instance, any of my fellow free-huddlers, should they decide to run for Congress and win...regardless of their political views, it would seem as if none of us here really don't "give a rats ass" and I don't see how it would be likely that we would stray so far from this once elected.

I mean...Nancy Pelosi...surely out of touch with many, many moderate to right leaning americans...and many people would think her political ideology to be completely misguided...but I'm confident she gives at least a mouse's ass about Americans.

I am confident that most of them THINK they care, but their actions continually show they don't have a clue.

Not everyone, but an ever shrinking minority.

I agree many would fall to the power of having a part in controlling trillions of dollars. Lobbyists at the ready to wine and dine because you have a say in the regulation of wealth. This is why our founders sought to limit the centralization of power in Washington.
