Yes, wouldn't it be something if the hack on the DNC was done by the CIA to damage BOTH Clinton and Trump....

Just a fun conspiracy theory I came up with :)

But, seriously, if those allegations are true then it's no wonder Russia tried to interfere in our election.

Yeah, I am just waiting for trump's "i told you so tweet" claiming it was the CIA all along.

Oh, that's inevitable. He's going to really pile on, and then the media will be like "wait a minute, you HATE leaks and called Snowden a traitor that should be executed"

I'm sure Trump will be tweeting something to that effect shortly lol.

My takeaway is what I said all along...that tech is not exclusive to the CIA. Any hacker worth his/her salt can make it look like someone else did it.

If its true that the CIA is recording virtually every phone, text, email, et al, where did they get the authority to do that? If no authority has been given, what happens now that we know they are doing it?

These seem to be very strange times to be in these days...

It doesn't really bother me. That's just the way it is.

How can this (assumed) invasion of your privacy "not really bother" you? Do you not care the government is doing this? Doesn't this look like the government is breaking the law and violating your rights?

I'm thinking he's being sarcastic due to some responses on the intrusive TSA checks thread.

This is looking like it has the potential to be a sizeable shitstorm.

    Lol.

Yeah, going through TSA security lines is exactly the same as the government keeping track of our phones [emoji849]

didn't see the TSA thread yet... will check it out. ...not that I don't ever use sarcasm myself! :)

I was mostly joking, but they are both examples of government overreach. Just different extremes.

For what it's worth, Zuckerberg has been covering his webcam and mic on his computers for a long time.

If anyone takes anything from this, nothing is safe. No products we bring into our home are safe. Nothing we do with a computer, internet connection, cell phone, etc...is safe.

Yeah, but he's Zuckerberg. I doubt the feds give a shit about any of us.

Funny thing is, I just realized this makes Trump's tweet about being tapped pretty much 100% correct. Now, completely different context or misleading to the point of being a lie, but it depends on what your definition of "is" is.

Prob not, but still found it interesting.

Why am I on this list!!!???

  • Azubuike24
The feds don't care about any of us...until they have a reason to.

You better believe that if you start having a major influence or control of significant money, they are using this stuff.

Why do you think we don't hear former politicians, CEO's, lobbyists and the like outing each other or the exploits of people? The government can own and control anyone they really want and it's these subtle things that allow it.
