Countdown to Impeachment
-
isadoreHail Trump!
To make up for their mistake in creating the Electoral College, the Founding Fathers gave us:
Article II, Section IV
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
With the Inauguration we can now begin our newest game, Countdown to Impeachment. To play answer the following questions about the President Trump:
1. How long to impeachment by a majority vote of the House of Representatives? Years __________ (10 points) Months ______ (15 Points) Days _____ (20 points)
2. How long to removal by a 2/3s vote of the Senate after impeachment? Months _____ (10 points) Days _____ (15 points)
3. Select one or more charges: Treason ___ Bribery ____ High Crimes _____ Misdemeanors _____ (10 points each either correctly checked or unchecked)
100 is a perfect score. Highest score above zero wins.
(Tie breaker) What will bring him down: his ties to Russia, his tangled business dealings or his sexual proclivities?
Hopefully we will have a winner in the very near future.

fish82The GOP will control the HOR for the next decade at least. Hence, this thread is pretty stupid out of the blocks.

Really could never switch. I think folks like you have thought that in the past.
Let us check the present 2017 Congressional Breakdown. Senate 46 D with two independents who vote with them and 52 Republicans. House 194 Dems and 241 Republicans.
Let go back a few years to 1993. Bill Clinton had just been elected. And he was a Senate with 57 Dem and 43 Republicans. And a House that is 258 Dems and 176 Republicans. Gosh with those kind of numbers he could never be impeached. But then in 1995 there came a big switch. A Senate with 48 D and 52 Republicans and a House with 204 D and 230 Republicans. Then what happens a few years later. Impeachment
But Donald could do anything so horrible that even Republicans will vote to impeach him. As they were in 1974 when Nixon resigned because he knew he would be impeached and removed. His fellow Republicans turned on him.

so many Republicans hate his guts. If given a chance don't you think Lindsay Graham, John McCain, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, and Ted Cruz would vote to remove him from office. Here is a list of Republicans including Representatives and Senators who opposed him in the past election. ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Republicans_who_opposed_the_Donald_Trump_presidential_campaign,_2016#U.S._Senators -

some possibilities in the not too distant future
High Treason-his relationship with the Russians in getting into office then selling out to them afterward
Bribery-his questionable business relationships
High Crimes and Misdeameanors, continued unsolicited ***** grabbing. -

sleeperAlso, once Trump is linked to election manipulation via Russia he will be impeached and jailed for life. Pence will be gone too.
A fitting end to the traitors of Democracy. -
Heretic
About the only way I'd see it happening is if the R brass decides he isn't falling in line with what they want. If he's a good boy and signs what they want him to sign, they'll be cool with him. If he goes all "maverick" and doesn't (or commits some hugely embarrassing scandal), it could happen.gut;1834585 wrote:causing mass butt-hurt, of course
But for the next couple years, that'd be the only reason. Down the road, the situation might change, but he'd have to cause the Rs to lose seats throughout federal and state governments like the Ds did during Obama's tenure for that to be a possibility. -

That will probably happen right after they finally link all those dead bodies to Bill and Hillary.sleeper;1834590 wrote:Also, once Trump is linked to election manipulation via Russia -

It's already starting to unravel. It was reported yesterday that Trump is receiving foreign payments with no indication of from who or for what. Also leaked today is links to Russian sanction removal and a stake in a large Russian oil company.gut;1834592 wrote:That will probably happen right after they finally link all those dead bodies to Bill and Hillary.
When there's smoke, there's fire. Expect impeachment before May, assuming the Republic is still around then. -

if the winner claimed before the election that the process was rigged and after the election that 3 to 5 million people voted illegally, how can the results have any validity, time for a do-over. -

I love when sleeper talks to himself and quotes himself. He used to argue with himself but at least now he has both screen names on the same page politically.isadore;1834800 wrote:Hail Trump
