This law also applies to federal contractors and other institutions that receive federal funding such as public schools. As an atheist, it never really bothered me to see the word "God" in the pledge. It didn't mention any specific God so to me when I say "One nation, under god" it is inclusive of anyone to attribute that to "their god".
This is a non-issue. Obama made it an issue; I have to give a thumbs down on this one. -
