SpockWASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) — Early this morning, President Obama made what could very well prove to be the most controversial move of his presidency with the signing of Executive Order 13738, which revokes the federal government’s official recognition of the Pledge of Allegiance. Under the new order, it is now illegal for any federally funded agency to display the pledge or for any federal employee to recite, or encourage others to recite, the pledge while on duty. This law also applies to federal contractors and other institutions that receive federal funding such as public schools. Individuals who violate this order can face fines of up to $10,000 and up to one year in federal prison.

During the press conference, the President explained his decision was based on a personal belief that the language used in the pledge is “divisive” and “contrary to America’s deepest held values.”

ernest_t_bassWow.

QuakerOatsThis dovetails perfectly with his (and Hillary's) ideals of not requiring/expecting muslim refugees, immigrants, and illegal aliens to assimilate into our culture.
Open borders / amnesty / welfare ..................in return for votes: a treasonous model.
Traitor --- lock him up. -
AutomatikI don't mind. I don't like that it has the word God in it either. Anything related to or related to religion should 100% be out of public schools.
I'm more pissed that the stupid fuck kept marijuana as a schedule 1 drug. -
sleeperAs an atheist, it never really bothered me to see the word "God" in the pledge. It didn't mention any specific God so to me when I say "One nation, under god" it is inclusive of anyone to attribute that to "their god".
This is a non-issue. Obama made it an issue; I have to give a thumbs down on this one. -
ptown_trojans_1Seriously?
This is a hoax guys.
Come on, do some research. -
AutomatikAgreed, countless other thins that should take precedent over this nonsense.
