Defends a socialist, but then says stuff like this....

I told him I would if I had time but I was kinda busy tying up loose ends. So he sees me today and asks if I have an estimate yet and I tell him that I hadn't had time. To which he replies "don't you understand how important this is? I have a guy calling me later on today who needs this information. Some of us still have to work here and still care"....
now ... This guy is the laziest, biggest piece of shit I've ever met, so that didn't help the situation out at all. But without any holding back I told him " you know what.. Go fuck yourself and figure it out on your own then" and walked away. He's a nobody piece of shit so I didn't feel like I was burning any bridges by telling him what I've wanted to tell him for the last 9 years.

Have you ever lost your composure at work? I'm sure I wouldn't have if I didn't have 2 days left.

The irony brings the lulz. Also, he is a self proclaimed socialist, not sure how calling him a socialist is name calling....

I'm shocked you don't understand. Shocked.

I'm shocked that you would play the "nobody can comprehend my superior logic" card after being called out on your contradictory stance. Shocked.

Oh my bad, that makes socialism much better. It is name calling and fear mongering to call him a socialist, because he describes himself as a democrat socialist. Got it.

Yes, in the end it is still socialism. There are also different forms of communism, but in the end it is still communism. Let's just put it out there so you can stop pretending you are smarter than everyone:

"Democratic socialism rejects the social democratic view of reform through state intervention within capitalism, seeing capitalism as inherently incompatible with the democratic values of freedom, equality and solidarity. Democratic socialists believe that the issues inherent to capitalism can only be solved by transitioning from capitalism to socialism, by superseding private property with some form of social ownership, with any attempt to address the economic contradictions of capitalism through reforms only likely to generate more problems elsewhere in the capitalist economy."

Yeah, GOD FORBID anybody call your boy a socialist!!!

So 80 IT people at my work got laid off Friday as the company moves IT to India. Do you see that as not a problem?

That's definitely a problem, and has been a problem for awhile. Socialism is not going to fix that, our government is inherently inept enough. Go ask Greece how that is working out for them. If we didn't tax and regulate the shit out of these big "evil" businesses, they would probably be more willing to keep their businesses in this country and provide jobs.

That's another topic however. You claimed it is fear mongering to call Bernie a socialist, when he is in fact a self proclaimed socialist. I think enough has been presented to prove that statement from you is 100% incorrect, but I am sure you will still use that as a defense/spinning mechanism whenever anybody criticizes Bernie. I just find it funny that you bitch about your coworkers not putting in their fair share of work, yet you support a socialist.

Socialism has nothing to do with the amount a work you do or do not do. There's lazy people in every segment of life. Hence lazy people in a capitalistic society lol. You're trying to make a terrible, terrible point.

Ok zwick, whatever makes you feel better about your contradictory stance (and being wrong for calling out hits for fear mongering). You posted 5 blanket statements to make your point. If you actually have something to bring to the table, feel free to do so. I am off to the bar to watch the Browns lose to the Titans in the meantime.

Edit: Just saw you added another post. Make that 6 blanket statements.

Ok which "blanket statement" would you like me to expand on to show you're wrong?

Still waiting to hear your response on how calling him a socialist is fear mongering, and what your company moving IT to India has to do with it.

Bc it's reverting back to McCarthyism. Only it's worse bc in this instance you're intentionally misrepresenting someone's ideologies. Everyone, including your buddy like that, knows Sanders isn't a classic Lenin Socialist who wants to government to own everything, but has no problem labeling him as such. But you're trying to scare people, who know no better, into thinking that.
  • ZWICK 4 PREZ
And how IT jobs sent to India applies to sanders is by him wanting to eliminate corporate deductions such as relocation expenses from taxes that allow businesses using them to reduce their tax liability. Which also goes hand in hand with why like that thinks corporations are taxed to high is bullshit since after available deductions they pay an effective tax rate of less than 13%

... And that is a gross generalization. If there is a loophole, you fix that, not use it as an excuse to raise taxes on all business in general.

You claim Republicans are "fear mongering" when one if the biggest demagogues in politics plays on people's emotions and jealousies to bash "billionaires" and "corporations"... LOL.
The biggest hoax foisted on people is the term " democratic socialist"...that's just putting lipstick on a pig.... it's still a pig. if it is good you don't need euphemisms to make it look better. Socialism is socialism.

So you'd call England and Germany and France a pig? Gotcha.

The only pigs are the few acquiring all the wealth in America.

I realize that it might be a little hard for someone who listens to BS (such approriate initials) to understand the meaning. SMH.

And I realize it's probably tough for someone who forms his opinions soley off Fox News to realize there's so much more out there in life than what they allow you to think.

I sometimes wonder if we as a people are just so used to the bland, so used to the vanilla cookie cutter politician, that we think that anybody who doesn't fit into that mold is just kooky and it makes us nervous.

Sure. In "democratic socialism" we get to vote on it, vs. it being put in place via revolution.

The economic concepts are pretty much exactly the same.

Yeah ..that ...and well ... The government doesn't own everything. Jesus Christ people.

Technically, the government doesn't own everything in "traditional" socialism either.

Look, I know you like Bernie and you're mad that people are using his own self-definition against him...and that's perfectly cool. You're simply not doing a very good job defending it.
