Obama vs the Field (2016 election - if 3rd term was possible)
-
rydawg5What would Obama's chances be if he could go for a 3rd term but had to win the Democratic Nomination again through Primaries, and then against Republicans.
I think he would be a heavy favorite and as a betting man I would probably put it at around a -850 money line. (8.5 to 1 favorite)
What say you? Who would be his toughest opponent?
FWIW, he would NOT have my vote. -
like_thatHe would be a favorite for sure. A lot of dumbasses treat him as if he is their favorite athlete. He can do no wrong and is the greatest president of all time. Also he would once again get another great turnout from the black vote.
-
iclfan2He would win vs. the schmucks the republicans have so far. Unfortunately, this country has 50% of people not paying taxes, and a higher % that are borderline retarded. I have no faith in the American people to make an intelligent decision.
-
wkfanHe would be a shoe-in given the stupidity of the majority of our population who have already crowned him as King.
When you pay for votes of >50% of the voting public....no one else stands a chance. -
BR1986FBPosts 2, 3 & 4 on this thread are pretty much spot on. This country is full of imbeciles. Free phones > national security
-
Belly35Term limits for every politican ... is for a reason.... it a trade off of stupid
-
sleeperHe would win without a doubt.

BoatShoesITT people who believe the following things the same time:
1. Obama is an abysmal failure who has been horrible for America.
2. The majority of Americans are stupid, on the dole, don't know what is good for them and would vote for the abysmal failure again.
3. America is exceptional. -

Only people butthurt ITT are the people who would be showering praise on Romney for the exact same results but can't stand Obummer and are real salty about it.like_that;1747632 wrote:FIFY -

How in the hell does Romney factor into this discussion.....he has no 'exact same results' as KB1. Romney has never been President.BoatShoes;1747636 wrote:Only people butthurt ITT are the people who would be showering praise on Romney for the exact same results but can't stand Obummer and are real salty about it.
Blaming others for KB1's failure again?? -

Let's try to follow along, sporto. I am saying that Obama is not a failure. He is not the second coming of FDR but he is also not the abject disaster the right wing bubble of this country believes - the same people who would be declaring their victory of socialism if Romney did happen to win for the exact same results.wkfan;1747637 wrote:How in the hell does Romney factor into this discussion.....he has no 'exact same results' as KB1. Ole Barry has beaten Romney's own policy goals:
May 23rd, 2012:
But I will say this - we are not in a war with Iran so I can see why some people in the GOP are mad. After repeatedly pinning the president for the unemployment level, which now sits at 8.1%, Mitt Romney pledged he could cut the rate by two points if he makes it to the White House.
"I can tell you that over a period of four years, by virtue of the policies that we'd put in place, we'd get the unemployment rate down to 6%, and perhaps a little lower," the presumptive GOP nominee said in a TIME interview published Wednesday. -
HereticI'm glad third terms aren't possible because the 18 months leading up to any presidential election are insufferable enough for sane people to deal with without the added "bonus" of all the butthurt that even this hypothetical situation is generating.

So I will reiterate - Obama is not a failure nor is he the second coming of Lincoln. He is a mild/mediocre success (provided his pick of Janet Yellen doesn't prove to be a mistake next month if the Fed raises rates). And, you, with all of your glorious cognitive dissonance - you would be calling a Republican with the same results a rip-roaring success.wkfan;1747637 wrote:

I can't be blaming anybody for failure when they are in fact a success. Hope this helps. -

I cannot think of one success he has had, although Wall St. did get wealthy while Main St. got wiped out. But then again, he said the precise opposite would happen if he was elected.
He makes Jimmy Carter look like George Washington.
