I am astonished t how once again the repubs have convinced themselves that she is going down and has no chance...the same attitude they had when Obama trounced Romney with 300 electoral votes.

    Kasich/Rubio or its Hill IMHO.

Personally I think Trump is trolling for Bill and Hillary
Trump has pulled within 5 points of her...and she's behind in the 5 main swing states to half the GOP field.

She's simply not going to be president...the only shot you people have is to roll the dice with Sanders. If Madame Secretary is the nominee, it literally doesn't even matter who the GOP runs.

I don't know about that, but she is historically polarizing and distrusted - not the sort of thing that gets the turnout you need to win elections.

Still too early, but I no longer think she's a lock to even win the nomination, especially if Warren or [gasp] Biden comes in.

    And, boy, wouldn't a Biden/Trump debate be a real clown-off.

Agreed. Biden/Trump would be one for the ages.

I disagree and let us recall your confidence that she wouldn't run, that the polls were wrong in 2012, that Rick Perry would overtake Romney, etc.

Obama would have lost to Romney a year before the election too.

It is simple. If Janet Yellen...Bill Clinton's former CEA chair...doesn't blow it...the dem nominee wins and Clinton will be the nominee. She ain't goin to jail over the emails that only committed republican voters/anti-dems care about.

I love America but that may just be jumping the shark.

I said she might not run. I also said there was a better than 50/50 chance that she wouldn't be the nominee. The only prediction that I've ever flat-out missed was that no one would hit 300 EV's in 2012. My all-time record is something like 19-1. ;)

In hindsight, Romney's only "victory window" would have been if the election was held within a week after the first debate.

Of course she isn't going to jail...no reasonable person has suggested as such. She's also not going to be POTUS.

Hillary is pretty good at spin, pretty horrible at lying. Watching her backtracking and attempts to explain/rationalize her email comes across about as insincere and deceptive as it gets it. She's really not that good at feigned indignation and should use it sparingly (maybe that's her problem - you can't go to that well EVERY time you're criticized).

But the larger issue here is why does she become SoS and immediately go to a private server? Why have others done that (although I think there may be a difference between secure access from home and moving everything to your own personal server). The ONLY reason people do this is specifically to keep things off the record and to evade FOIA. I understand that maybe there's dirty business that needs done that the public doesn't want to know about....Then again, classified shit goes decades before being released (if ever) so maybe the personal servers are really intended to evade Congressional inquiries.

What amazes me, with the tech obviously available, is why anyone would want to mix personal and business email. If you're worried, justifiably, about private affairs being discovered in a business inquiry then no one with a brain has those emails sharing the same server.

If so, I know I'll be getting ALL my election coverage from The Onion.

It would be! They'd be trying to out demagogue each other. If those guys get their party's nod, I'll be looking at places to ex-pat!
