    Watergate was the worst Presidential action of the 20th century. The sitting President resigned. That has never happened, never. He was going to be impeached. The President approved criminal action be taken.

    And, the larger picture, before the American public had a positive view of the U.S., after, and since until now, the public has had a skeptical or negative view of the Government.

    Watergate is the worst U.S. Presidential scandal of the 20th century, and trumps anything Obamacare may impact.

    You have no idea what you are talking about.

    I guess the President saying he ordered guys to break into the other party's HQ is not that big a deal, or to bug all the people that tried to uncover the scandal. Or, to use the CIA to make sure it all goes away.
    Or, to pretty much fire all the advisers, and the Attorney General in one night.

    My regular insurance jumped 12%. Haven't bothered to find the Obamakare comparison yet - I'd be shocked if it was less (and I'm guessing probably 25% above my new rate).

    Like I said, you are not a moderate in the United States of America. I made no claim about where you are amongst financial types. I am well to the left in today's political spectrum. Most financial types are fiscal conservatives. Considering yourself a moderate amongst financial types is tantamount to acknowledging that you're to the right of the center of the American poltical spectrum. Obama wond handily in the general election on his moderately liberal platform. You just think most Americans are stupid it's that simple and you've said as much several times. Obama's not a conservative he's a moderate liberal tax-favoring mild deficit hawk. You prove the point. Obama won the election with the votes of moderates and independents and was disdained by financial types.

    1. The President's Attorney General of the United States authorized a plan to distribute weapons to well-known drug lords and criminals. These guns were used to murder hundreds of Mexican citizens, American citizens and an American Border Guard. Not as bad as authorizing a breaking and entering gig, eh?
    2. American citizens and an American Ambassador were brutally murdered on the anniversary of 9-11 while the President of the United States sat by and let it unfold. He let them die. You should be a little more inquisitive as to where he was that afternoon and why no help was authorized. Oh wait...it was a movie that stopped him from helping...right?
    3. The President of the United States has authorized our government to wiretap American citizens without proper court notice, collect electronic data on people not accused of crimes and authorize the sharing of same information with his re-election campaign. Not as bad as keeping an "enemies list" perhaps?

    I could go on, but what's the point. You are convinced Nixon is Satan incarnate and nothing will ever "top" him.

    ^^^ The IRS targeting of American citizens is equally outrageous. Yet, in some minds, digging up a little dirt on one's political adversaries is apparently worse. A big difference between then and now, at least then the guy had one final ounce of integrity and resigned ---- that won't happen with the types of we are dealing with today - either obama or Clinton.

    Based on today's political climate, something as seemingly petty as Watergate would be ignored by the press particularly if those actions were to have occurred under Dem presidencies like Clinton's and Obama's. By "petty" I mean that Watergate pales in comparison to Fast & Furious, Benghazi, NSA, IRS, etc. yet Obama gets a free effin pass by the lamestream media and Barry Nuthuggers.

    Blows my mind.

    I'm interested to see the increases in relation to past increases. Because costs on healthcare have increased every year for like 30 damn years or something so numbers in a vacuum don't really help.

    I'll say it again, do you honestly believe the majority of America doesn't want a balanced budget, doesn't believe Washington spending is out of control, and wants to just keep piling on debt? They may have other issues that have much more importance or priority to them, but to pretend otherwise I think is just indicative that you don't really understand there are many types and degrees of being fiscally conservative - you just tend to associate all fiscal conservatism with the extreme right wing because it suits your arguments.
