44% of Republicans think an armed revolution may be necessary

Indeed...I after all, am the one who is "losing it" by making jokish comments regarding several of our resident conservative posters here and much of their conservative brothers in arms in the polity at large that see an armed revolution on the horizon :thumbup:believer;1439970 wrote:I love it when leftists start going off the deep end (well, more so than usual anyway) because it means they're on the defense and cannot find a way out. You don't have to go to talk radio when guys like Bill Richardson are blabbing away on ABC's "This Week" Sunday show that Sen. Ted Cruz can't be defined as a Hispanic because of his political stance on immigration. Perhaps he was just pulling our legs and this was all just some kind of joke.BoatShoes;1440034 wrote:And yet here you are speaking of "leftists" as a group. What you're saying here is a bunch of blah blah nonsense and typical talk radio/right wing website trope. -

This is a great pic that illustrates the mindset of liberals and those who think like them. No doubt, Boatshoes posted this as an object of derision...we are supposed to look at this and think that this man hunkered down is a pitiful sort...and obviously "not free". The joke , of course, is on them, because this picture is aptly captioned...the man pictured is ultimately free. He has made his choices and is responsible for them. He has food and is self-reliant. He feels safe and secure surrounded by his guns and ammo. Yet he bothers no one...and no one bothers him.BoatShoes;1440042 wrote:
That this definition of being free and happy doesn't fit in a liberals box is unnerving. Even more unnerving to them, is that this individual is afforded Constitutional protection, and one vote.... same as them!
You see, it takes a paridigm shift in thinking that they are not capable of...and that is that man's freedom is defined by himself...and him alone. Not by another man, not by a group, not by an agenda, and most certainly not by self important elitists who think they have all the answers. -

BTW. Trolling from time to time doesn't mean you can't defend your views. Socrates after was the greatest troll of all. -

Why suppose that is a "liberal" trait as opposed to a "hispanic/latino" trait, or what have you.majorspark;1440337 wrote:You don't have to go to talk radio when guys like Bill Richardson are blabbing away on ABC's "This Week" Sunday show that Sen. Suppose, If most blacks wanted affirmative action...couldn't it just as easily be because that's what most blacks want as opposed to what most liberals want.... a trait shared by a lot of black folks?
I think that Richardson's position is more related to some kind of intra-ethnicity type of thing than being about liberals per se. -

It does not unnerve me that such a person gets a vote and constitutional protection. What that he is unjustifiably prepared to take arms against the very public architecture and regulated capitalist system that provides those rights, his freedom, and the chattels he surrounds himself with.HitsRus;1440434 wrote:This is a great pic that illustrates the mindset of liberals and those who think like them. The rest of your despicable statement shows how far we have fallen as a people. You are a progressive, but you celebrate our regression from the first nation to recognize the rights we are born with all the way back to the king that was gracious enough to take care of the peasants that occupied his kingdom. "Public architecture" and the "regulated capitalist system" provide for nothing but the wealth and power of the ruling class that operates them, by stripping us of our rights and freedom. -

Yeah, if anything, the Bill of Rights was designed to protect us from the public architecture and regulated capitalist system.Cleveland Buck;1440583 wrote:I don't see where in the picture it says the guy is going to take arms against anyone, let alone your precious mafia and their ill-gotten riches.

The whole Constitution was, or it would have delegated the federal government the power to regulate the "capitalist system" and build public architecture.WebFire;1440592 wrote:Yeah, if anything, the Bill of Rights was designed to protect us from the public architecture and regulated capitalist system. -

Right, that's what I was going for. I guess I said Bill of Rights just because we are specifically talking about amendments. But I think that statement by Boatshoes sums up the leftist view quite well.Cleveland Buck;1440596 wrote:The whole Constitution was, or it would have delegated the federal government the power to regulate the "capitalist system" and build public architecture. -

I'm not supposing anything. Bill Richardson and his ilk are.BoatShoes;1440448 wrote:Why suppose that is a "liberal" trait as opposed to a "hispanic/latino" trait, or what have you.
Yes absolutely. But when one of them strays off the plantation and some democrat talking head tells us how this individual can no longer be defined as black, anyone with and ounce of intelligence gets the political strategy,BoatShoes;1440448 wrote:Suppose, If most blacks wanted affirmative action...couldn't it just as easily be because that's what most blacks want as opposed to what most liberals want.... a trait shared by a lot of black folks?
I think Richardson's position is quite clear. Any "hispanic" that strays from the group template is not true to his ethnicity. And is a stooge of the Republican party.BoatShoes;1440448 wrote:I think that Richardson's position is more related to some kind of intra-ethnicity type of thing than being about liberals per se. -

It does't. But the picture attempting to be painted by the statists is these "gun loving" nut cases are collecting arms for the purpose of overthrowing the gubmint. These loose cannons could go off at anytime. The poll that inspired this thread is an attempt to portray this thought as mainstream permeating the republican party.Cleveland Buck;1440583 wrote:I don't see where in the picture it says the guy is going to take arms against anyone, -

Yeah....like people who know anything about guns/military are going to take on the U.S. Army with a semi automatic .22 rifles. But the picture attempting to be painted by the statists is these "gun loving" nut cases are collecting arms for the purpose of overthrowing the gubmint.
It does 'work' on the general public though, and that's why they use it.
I think it is also to portray conservatives as objects of derision, of being paranoid "rubes" a term that they bandy about with impunity. Don't let slip a slur about any of their favorite "groups" or the PC media will crucify you. But rubes and 'Muricans" (as boatshoes put it)....it is just a joke! It has been a hallmark of this administration to divide and split and classify groups to their political advantage.
I think gun and ammo hoarding is less about overthrowing the government, and more about the collapse of government which some people see as inevitable considering the continuing of suspect economic policies, and the inabilty or unwillingness to change them. -
WebFireFunny part is, Liberals want to murder NRA members. How ironic.

lol, much like you uber-conservative guys on this site do, considering your way of talking to people of different political belief generally is to take this condescending "Liberals are all like this" stance where you essentially act like having those beliefs is like having some sort of really embarrassing STD.HitsRus;1440690 wrote:It has been a hallmark of this administration to divide and split and classify groups to their political advantage. -

Not what I'm talking about at all....claiming to represent women, minorities, the middle class...etc etc...all defined by them. Those within those groups who hold different views are marginalized, ostracized, called names/slurs. Sarah Palin is ****, Ann Coulter is *****, Hermain Cain is an ****....and middle class white people who don't suck from the government teat are rubes.Heretic;1440717 wrote:lol, much like you uber-conservative guys on this site do, considering your way of talking to people of different political belief generally is to take this condescending "Liberals are all like this" stance where you essentially act like having those beliefs is like having some sort of really embarrassing STD. -

You could have picked better examples. Those three are not a trio I would want to represent me. -
HitsRusI'm using actual examples that liberal media/pundits have spewed. Any member of these groups that achieve political power or legitimacy and don't follow the code are subject to intense character assasination.
