Will Republicans regret having been such Obstructionists when they get back in Power?

Wrong...The left complained the whole time the Repubs controlled Congress for "doing nothing."cbus4life wrote: They're only the part of "no" when they aren't the ones in power in Congress. Then, they're completely happy being the party of "yes."
That's largely because (a) they should basically do nothing and (b) the Dems stalled anything the Repubs felt inclined to introduce.
Bottom-line: Both parties are guilty of being the "party of no" when the shoe fits.
I, for one, am very happy when the Repubs say no and sometimes happy when Dems say no.
Less government is good government. -
cbus4lifeThey should basically do nothing?
What is the point of having a Congress, then?
And, i guess we'll have to disagree, as i don't think less government is always good government, just as i don't always think more government is good government.
Not nearly that simple. -

No it's not. But my experience is that the more government tries to "help" protect us from us, the more damage it causes.cbus4life wrote: They should basically do nothing?

Are laws necessary? Absolutely.
Should the government protect our freedoms and liberties? Yes. Should the government interfere with my personal health care? Hell no.
Personal liberty and freedom should always win out over unnecessary government tyranny and interference in our personal lives.

QuakerOatsIt used to be the constitution that stood between the people and the encroachment of government. The democrats have thrown the constitution under the bus, so the last line of defense that the people now have is republican "obstructionism" ........... God save us if that fails.

believer^^^I agree. Here's a little something that sort of sums it all up:
My cats sleep about 16 hours a day. They have food prepared for them. They eat whenever they want, 24/7/365. Their meals are provided at no cost to them.
They visit the vet once a year and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this they pay nothing, and nothing is required of them.
They live in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than they need, yet they are not required to do any upkeep. When they crap in the litter box, someone else cleans it up. They have choices of luxurious places to sleep. They receive these accommodations absolutely free.
They live like kings, and have absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of their costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.
I was thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me...Holy Crap, my cats are Democrats! -
CenterBHSFanHey guys.
It's really easy to blame everything on the democrats, I know. Maybe they are the ones responsible on some issues.
But as a whole, they had equal help from the republicans. -
