The people have spoken, what can the GOP do to gain the Presidency?

If someone is "leaning Democrat" they are not going to find what they want in the Republican party.

What is the republican party about?

There is nothing elitist about it. I don't think you would find too many to debate that statement on either side of the aisle. It's a simple and sad reality. The media spin, deflection and distraction works because people are lazy and/or ignorant, which does not necessarily imply they are stupid.

O'Reilly is saying people want stuff...the American Enterprise Institute is putting out a book called "A Nation of Taker's"...Limbaugh is telling people that Hispanics aren't voting for Democrats because of Immigration but because they want free stuff! Etc.
Immigration and amnesty are secondary issues for Hispanics. Reagan signed a version of amnesty in 1986, and Hispanics showed their appreciation in 1988 by favoring Dukakis over Bush 69%-30%. Reagan got 35% and 37% in '80 and '84.

Something is pulling them toward the Democrat side by 30 points every cycle. Hmmm . . .

The GOP is about invading women's privacy, they are also all about making the wealthy more wealthy at the cost of the middle class. Basically in a nutshell they want the USA to be Mexico.

That is great! How does it feel to have Obama for 4 more years? You will lose again until you fix what I stated.

Well the market is reacting. No woman with an IQ above 100 thinks their privacy is being violated. They care more that they have a job, or their husbands have a job, or their children have a job.

What about Benghazi? McCain needs to step up. I'm not the biggest fan of his, but his foreign service record is beyond reproach, no Rice for SoS. We have enough idiots running the government now.

they saw a president who was giving massive tax cuts to the rich and nearly tripling our national debt. they voted to protect our nation as real patriots.

Considering the vast majority of women voted for Obama...... nice job insulting them. The GOP is a dismal failure and will continue to be so. Stop threating taking away abortion and planned parenthood it will be good for the GOP's futures.

Worry about stop making the USA into the new Mexico and the GOP will get lots of votes in fact TONS of votes.

Ok Fine. Don't try new tactics to persuade people about the supposed virtues of laissez-faire markets and social conservatism. Be my guest. Just contributing some thoughts in a thread devoted to the question of how Republicans can once again win the presidency ;)

What woman actually cares about abortion or Planned Parenthood? The irony is that it is you that think that women vote on their "lady parts."

My wife is pro-choice, but cares more about our fiscal situation. She is more than just a vagina. She isn't having an abortion, she does pay taxes. Unlike most of the people that voted for Obama.

Look...even if what you're saying is true...I'm not sure it's going to help matters if it's blaring out of the right wing media that "they just want free stuff from santa claus...they don't want to be personally responsible."

I mean Asians for example, also vote Democrat in droves.....hmmmm....

Maybe these groups perceive the thinly veiled ethnocentrism being spewed towards them by the right wing media, eh?

And an awesome press conference (sarcasm), that was worse than the first debate. I can't believe for the life of anyone that Susan Rice is even being considered for Secretary of State. Pure idiocy.

Up > 60% since he took office good call . But, it looks like the markets are currently fearing the austerity bomb right around the corner so long as we don't try to balance the budget too much or too soon we'll be ok (opposite of your advice). So, once again, good call

Yeah she's so terrible because she answered questions while relying on the best available evidence at the time

Maybe if conservatives relied upon the best available evidence (i.e. polls) they wouldn't be so butthurt right now

Parrot, parrot, parrot. Party line! Party line! No one can be so stupid to believe that internet video had anything to do with the terrorist attack, yet months later people are still making excuses for it.

No one can be that stupid. Are you really this stupid?

Even on the 16th of September the MSM recognized the lies or incompetence. Which is worse?

I am stupid enough, yes, to rely on the intelligence memos handed to me by the CIA before I go on Meet the Press if I'm the Ambassador to the U.N. as opposed to my gut feelings (something that hasn't gotten conservatives very good results as of late )

Or you could be smart and not say anything, something even the dumbest lawyer knows to tell his/her client. Either she lied or she was incompetent. In either case if she was a Republican she would have been out by now. No way should she be confirmed as Secretary of State. Obama appeared buffoonish trying to cover for her. Today was a very poor day for his Presidency, and for our country. That was a terrible performance in the press conference and there is no indication that he's any closer to being a better executive than he has been the last 4 years. Terrible. Or per a certain ESPN reporter...Turrible.

Laughable. She is either so incredibly inept that she believed the horsesh!7 the White House told her to parrot, and was simply used as a tool; or she was part of the coverup all along. Either way, she should be terminated, but MUCH more importantly, those in the WH who either lied to her and used her, or made her a part of the massive coverup should be resigning en masse today. obama should resign, today, or be impeached, and removed from office. He is not only inept, he cannot be trusted.
