I'm not sure where I've made "an excuse" for Obama. I've mostly been discussing the strategy behind his campaign, which I've criticized, and how I see the election playing out. If you're curious, I actually didn't vote for Obama this year, but that hardly matters in the context of what I've argued here.gut;1300404 wrote:No, it' s perfect. You drove that point home. When pressed, you deflect form the real issues just like Obama. He's teflon to you - there's no excuse or justification you won't make for him, real or imagined.
I have a difficult time seeing how a Republican could in good conscience elect the Bush regime when the VP was quoted as saying "deficits don't matter," if it was truly a priority issue. I certainly heard some Republicans criticize the Bush admin, but most people are simply partisan hacks whose opinions on issues change with how they help frame the party the support. If that's not you, good job, I was referencing Republicans as a whole. The same can be said about Dems if it helps not to hurt your feelings. This is also not true. Many people were complaining about deficits during Bush, not sure what you were reading or hearing. Even then, the defiits were much lower. -

Agreed 100%. This is why Obama got lots of mileage out of his "I'll halve the deficit" spiel. But he's doubled it. DOUBLED it. DOU-BLED.2kool4skool;1300408 wrote: I have a difficult time seeing how a Republican could in good conscience elect the Bush regime when the VP was quoted as saying "deficits don't matter," if it was truly a priority issue. But you want to focus on what Romney may or may not have said, according to Obama, on health care.
