  Harding was no more corrupt than any other president of the 20th and 21st centuries. His handling of the 1920-21 depression (namely cut the budget in half, no federal handouts or corporate welfare, high interest rates) stamped out the crisis in a year and allowed for furious economic growth afterward. He was the last of the economically competent presidents.

  I don't know for sure, but I don't think Belly stole the money from other people to fund his bankrupt businesses. I know the government did.

  • Azure Dynamics: FAIL! - Azure Dynamics filed for bankruptcy in June , 2012 wasting millions in Obama “Stimulus” money and received abatement on taxes owed and and several tax credits. Azure Dynamics LLC filed for bankruptcy protection in Canada and the US. Azure laid off 120 of its 160 employees in Oak Park; Boston; Vancouver, British Columbia; and the UK.

  • Evergreen Solar: FAIL! - Evergreen Solar received $527 Million in Taxpayer money from Obama and filed bankruptcy in late 2011. Evergreen, which closed its taxpayer-supported Devens factory in March, 2011 cut more than 1800 jobs. Evergreen’s $450 million factory, turned out to be a colossal “waste” of taxpayer money.

  Decreasing tax liability is the opposite of stealing. It is preventing the theft of some of your own money.

  Pretty much anything in excess of 18% of GDP is a spending problem. Obama wants to sustain spending at 25% of GDP. The only way this can be accomplished is by massive deficits (nothing new there) and/or imposing a national sales tax/VAT. Yet Romney is the one being attacked for an alleged tax hike on the middle class (and bringing spending down to 20% of GDP by 2015 or whatever hardly makes him a deficit hawk).
  
  When the govt debt bubble bursts the wealthy will be hurt, but it's the poor and middle class that will truly suffer.
