The middle class has not suffered since the Great Depression like it has under Obama.

That was more about Romney introducing himself and offering a vision. Little value, at this point, in being more specific and giving the Obama policy wonks and the liberal media carte blanche to pick it apart unopposed. Hit it during the debates where an unprepared Obama doesn't have the fiscal/economic insight to respond effectively on the fly.

And I take back what I've said about Obama being a failure. If what you want is persistent anemic economic growth and high unemployment and big deficits, like Europe, then in that regard he's an absolute success. And that's the Obama many of us expected in 2008. Perhaps the disconnect is that people hoped we could have European style socialism without the negative drags on the economy from European style taxes and regulations. And the scary part is that the growth killing taxes and regulation have't really kicked in yet - something to look "forward" to in a second term.

    Barry's 2012 campaign tag line? :p

It really is a laughably hypocritical statement considering that he's been doing the exact same thing for 4 years now. I do, however, believe that Obama was as sincere as can be about wanting to know Romney's secret to creating jobs.

The irony dripping from that statement was unbelievable. Only BHO could say that with a straight face. Remember, it's not a lie if you really believe it.

People like Footwedge, of course, will consider it clear evidence that Romney is ruled by the eeeevil neo-cons. Perhaps, but the fact remains that Obama is the current commander-in-chief.

Obama has indicated that he plans a complete withdrawal by 2014. If BHO and his campaign advisers are smart enough, they'll make certain he reiterates this in his pep rally speech. This may be one point that might assist his re-election efforts.

The problem is Obama is behaving like the eeeeevil neo-cons. He promised to close GITMO....hasn't happened for example. And we're still in Afghanistan.

I'm not convinced we'll withdraw troops from Afghanistan by 2014 even if the American sheeple decide 4 more years of Obama will cure our economic ills.

Again, it will be interesting to see if Barry mentions Afghanistan and in what context and to what degree. If he doesn't, will we see another write-up from the leftist Washington Compost criticizing the - um - oversight? I doubt it.

While withdrawal from Afghanistan is certainly a valid point, the economy trumps the importance from a political point of view at least.

I'm a conservative who thinks that now that OBL is dead, it's time to give Afghanistan back to the Taliban turds.

But I highly doubt that foreign policy political realities will allow Romney or Obama to do that any time soon.
Yes indeed. I agree 100% with Nobel Peace prize winner, Desmond Tutu.

Mr. Tutu should be more concerned about the #&%^hole that is Jo'burg. I'm going out on a limb and claim to be the only Ohio Chattler that's been there given there's really not much of a reason reason to visit - I've never seen a bigger mess. If you're white you can't pull out a cell phone even in Mandela Square without a near certainty of being mugged. Women are allowed to ignore red lights while driving - no kidding.

Direct result of a country ruled by a teeny tiny minority....with extremely racist views. My wife was in Johannesburg and Swaziland (mission work) 3 weeks ago...does that count?

Thanks for confirming that you and all the radical teabaggers understand that you cannot win on issues or record. I agree, no need to return to the party and policies that got us to 2008.
