Most of the foreign arm sales are done through the DoD, not State.
The Energy Budget for nuclear weapons is about right, most of it is for weapons related research.
The NASA budget shouldn't be counted, as military satellites are used by NGA, and NRO, under the DoD.
The DoD does use some of the budget for DoD purposes, but it is a small amount, mainly R&D.
Still, overall, it is a lot. But, the bulk of defense and offense money is in the DoD budget.
What is disturbing and deceiving...all the direct associated costs with our involvement in the Middle East that are not recorded as a DOD expense.
There are hundreds of internet sources placing our military complex and it's direct offshoot costs exceeding 1 trillion per year.
College educations for a couple hundred thousand troops ain't free....and neither is the cost for shrink visits of 100,000 troops when they come home mentally crippled from what they've had to view.
