    The people who are for this ban simply disagree with you that circumcision is akin to piecing ears. They believe it to be a unreversable mutilation of the body and that people should be free to make that decision for themselves when they are adults. I don't exactly agree with that but they aren't busybodies because they disagree with you.
    I do agree that parents piercing a child's ears or having them tattooed would be equitable to circumcision, by any letter of the law. As long as parents are allowed to do those two things, there should be no law against circumcision. It's inconsistent.

    My position on this issue isn't for or against. My position is that the parents should have the ability to have a position and a State law put in place by the government does not afford that choice.
