Might want to check your numbers Quaker.....Romney is tied with him and no one else comes within 6 points of the President

With Christie's endorsement, I think Romney has now overtaken whatever momentum Perry had in the beginning. I think a Romney-Christie or Romney-Cain ticket might be just great. And if Christie doesn't want to be on the ticket, put him in a very visible, powerful role within the new government -- like head of Treasury.

You continue to keep looking at the wrong numbers. With 6 candidates, support is spread out in varying degrees and intensity between them, making the head to heads pretty meaningless. The best indicator is Bam's ratings in the swing states....and on that front he's currently in a world of hurt.

My sources say Romney would pick Governor McDonnell of Virginia.

I keep hearing how Newt isn't electable because he has "baggage." The only thing I could think of that could be considered baggage is the women situation. Does anyone have a better reason than that of why he isn't doing better?

Thanks, major. I hadn't seen that clip. Stupid ass.

Here's a tip for Republicans...whenever somebody comes up to you and asks, "How would you like to do a commercial sitting next to Nancy Pelosi?", the answer is always no. Forever no. Hell no.

Your link also show Perry beating Mitt Romney for the nomination too....shows how reliable Rasmussen is

Also,I've heard it said that it is quite easy for a "generic" canidate to beat someone....it's much harder for a named canidate to beat a President...which is why the President continues to beat Republican candidates in head-to-heads

Cain, Perry and Romney all beat obama today. He would be better off retiring to the golf course, and we would all be better for it.

Leading what? His approval ratings are well under 50% in almost every state you mentioned.

At well under 50% in each one...with no clear cut opponent even set yet. Hell, he isn't even over 50% against Bachmann.

It ain't just a river in Egypt, bro. ;)

Approval ratings don't really carry over to election numbers. If I remember Bush had pretty damn low approval ratings and got reelected.

He was between 47-48 on election day. Bam is currently at 38-42. With Independents he's even lower.

Where's Perry? He's as easy a target as most of them.

Also, for what it's worth, Paul also thinks same sex couples adopting is a state issue. He voted against it in DC (on the "District" level), but he's also said that it shouldn't be legislated across the board at the Federal level.

    Just FYI.

I just thought it was funny. And the thing says "supports state bans" as in, he'd leave it up to the states but would support states banning it.
