Well, since Palin WAS more qualified to be president than Obama -- your "slam" is laughable. -

...she was not more qualified. She literally might be the least "qualified" person to ever be on a ticket. -

So someone who was the successful Chief Executive of the executive branch of a state government is less qualified than an activist/agitator .......... gotcha.
By the way, how's that hope and change workin' out for ya? -
BoatShoes
No she is not. They both have bare minimum qualifications to be first term president. Bachmann is BHO's alter ego...at least when it comes to being all flash and no substance. If we're stuck between voting for BHO and his enormous unemployment rate who has bowed to republicans at every turn since passing his 1990's republican healthcare plan and the disassociated looney-land of Michele Bachmann it will be a sad day.Manhattan Buckeye;810527 wrote:Yeah, I was. Didn't even think it was a big deal since I didn't get any schollie meaning as a poor "typical white person" (in your savior's words) it was a better decision to go elsewhere and not have the debt.
But enough about me, I'm not POTUS, Obama is and he's unqualified. Even Bachmann at this point is more qualified than he is/was. Barack Obama has never done anything other than make good speeches with his teleprompter and fool millions of Americans. For the love of criminy are you this blind to the state of the country now? -

the same person who left their post to do reality tv and bus tours before completing one term in office... she's like Jesse Ventura. Former Governor of a cold state...like's to hunt...is fucking insane. -

Barry and Michelle would both lead this country to ruin by 2016.
Barry will because he is the socialist we've been waiting for. I like her, but Michelle will because no one respects her and she would be circumvented at every turn by the "good old boys club". I imagine a bit of anarchy/treason would befall her. Your post above confirms this. -

Michelle Bachmann failing would have nothing to do with her being a woman or the ole boys club and Barack Obama has not governed like a socialist. But the facts will not persuade you. -
QuakerOats
You might be right --- it is looking more like 'governing like a communist', not to mention administrative dictates by his radical appointees ,such as at NLRB and EPA. The beat goes on .........BoatShoes;811570 wrote:...and Barack Obama has not governed like a socialist. But the facts will not persuade you. -

C'mon. Bho was a COMMUNITY PLANNER! I'm pretty certain Governor > Community freaking planner. You can be a left winged blind democrat lover but at least be freaking reasonable. We need someone with a business background and actually intelligent to run this country at some point. All the career politicians and lawyers are garbage. -
WriterbuckeyeLOL Derek. A governor has more experience that applies directly toward being a president than a state rep who never voted on anything (except present) and someone who barely served in Congress. It's not even close, and you know it, but your unbridled hatred for Palin (probably like Bush) has blinded you to reason -- not that people who are liberal have much reason to begin with.
Fact is, Palin had more appropriate experience for President when she ran than either Obama or Biden. Which is why you see the clusterphuck we have in the executive branch right now. -

I am not a "liberal" nor am I a "conservative". I don't hate Palin, she's just a very unintelligent, dishonest, media-whore who didn't even finish her one term in office. I would respect her a little if she finished what she started in Alaska, but she's pussed out and chased that paper. -
Manhattan BuckeyeAnd who is the VP now? A dummy that went to a toilet tiered law school and CHEATED when he was there that would most likely prevent him from being barred today. People focus so much on Palin they forget about Smilin' Joe. He might be the the most unintelligent Pres/Veep we've ever had.

2kool4skoolSo where we're at is basically: yeah, my guy/girl sucks, but yours sucks worse.
Is there a candidate any of you would actually be pumped to see get the nomination? More than one? -
Manhattan BuckeyeAnyone that can beat the clowns currently in office. This administration has been a disaster....and Bernanke needs to go as well.

So the answer is no. It's simply a "better than the alternative" situation? No one out there that you think will be a great President on his/her own, not just when comparing to Obama? -
Manhattan BuckeyeAt this point I think it is healthy to be skeptical, we went through a religious fury in '08 and look where that got us.
-
2kool4skoolThe current top five in the polls(that have announced they're running): Romney, Cain, Bachmann, Perry, Pawlenty
Any of those you particularly favor? Any of them that are clearly at the bottom of your list? -

As of today, it's Rick Perry.2kool4skool;811971 wrote:So where we're at is basically: yeah, my guy/girl sucks, but yours sucks worse.

I've always thought Romney would make a good President...and probably Huntsman or Pawlenty too...but I the GOP has gone so far away from reality...I mean really to the point where if you hid conservatives behind a curtain and listed of their policies they would claim you're talking about a socialist...it's hard to know what they believe. I mean hell, Chris Christie has to dodge questions about the theory of evolution out of fear of turning off the evangelicals.
I think all of those guys would be good presidents but I can't say I would be "excited" if they got the nomination because who knows what they're really all about when they have to survive a primary that requires them to pretend to believe impossible things?
