SnotBubblesI don't get how Romney is a loser in Iowa. I've heard it several times. He wasn't projected to win, but he won. I don't care how much $ he spent per vote...he has resources no GOP candidate can match. Had Romney won Iowa 4 years ago, Huckabee would have sunk and he would have been able to beat McCain easily.
Mitt Romney was a winner last night and he will get the GOP nomination. -
pmoney25Santorum is a big spending, big government, war mongering bafoon. He would be last guy id vote for including obama. But social conservatives will vote for him cause he hates gays and muslims

Exactly ..... the obama state-run media wants you to believe what they are plastering all over the air waves today ----- simply comical.SnotBubbles;1038812 wrote:I don't get how Romney is a loser in Iowa. bigdaddy2003I'm not sure where to look it up so I will ask for those who seem to be more in the know. I keep hearing Santorum is a big government kind of guy and I'm trying to figure out where the info to back that up is located. Thanks for any help.

Do you know anything about Santorum, or just that Fox News likes him? There is nothing conservative about him, and he has zero appeal to independent voters. He would get slaughtered in a general election.QuakerOats;1038843 wrote:It did not take long for that pitcher of kool aid to make the rounds ..... classic -
derek bomargoogle santorum...

fish82What is with you people running around foaming at the mouth over this guy like he has a chance or something? Take some meds, and then check his numbers in NH, SC and FL.

Voted for Medicare Part D
Voted for Airline bailouts
Voted for Lautenberg Gun ban
Endorsed liberal Arlen Spector against Republican candidate in PA Senate race.
Paid $65,000 to be a lobbyist by American Continental Group
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington voted Santorum one of the most corrupt members of Congress in 2006.
According to opensecrets.org, received the most money from lobbyists of any member of Congress in 2006.
If you need sources, just google each of those statements.
Let's wake up now. The guy is a scumbag. Just because Bret Baier and Sean Hannity like him doesn't mean he is conservative at all. -

" With fewer votes than he received in 2008, Mitt Romney might be the winner, but this was and always has been his race to lose. He will win handily in New Hampshire, but failing to decisively defeat the pack will hurt him going into South Carolina and Florida. He will be the target just as much as Rick Santorum, perhaps more so, and Republicans who are looking for someone other than Romney will unite behind Santorum, Paul, or Gingrich, whichever can have the best showing later this month.SnotBubbles;1038812 wrote:I don't get how Romney is a loser in Iowa. Is Romney still the likely GOP candidate? Yes. Still, he will face a longer fight than he can afford thanks to this miniscule win. On the other side, Barack Obama’s camp can only hope that the other Republican candidates tear Romney down as much as possible, softening him up before the real showdown in November.
Mitt Romney is the weakest frontrunner either party has seen since Michael Dukakis."

Avoid talking about foam and Santorum at the same time.fish82;1038883 wrote:What is with you people running around foaming at the mouth over this guy like he has a chance or something? Take some meds, and then check his numbers in NH, SC and FL. -

And I have been told Ron Paul hates blacks, the Russians and Chinese will take over, and it wil be only a matter of time before an Iranian nuke goes off in an American city. You people crack me up with this stuff. There are plenty of reasons to oppose Santorum. I'll agree Dukakis was a loser, but Bob Dole may have been an even larger turd for the R's.I Wear Pants;1038889 wrote:Mitt Romney is the weakest frontrunner either party has seen since Michael Dukakis."
I'm going to agree with fish in that the full frontal assault on Santorum is pathetic and disgusting. I'm not going to vote for him, but the animosity, hatred, and indeed, foaming-at-the-mouth from all sides, especially the so-called Republicans, is troubling to hear and read. He's a piker compared to the current marxist-in-chief and the focus needs to be squarely on him, not on someone who doesn't stand a snowball's chance of winning anything. -

Spot on analysis, especially the Huckleberry comment. I don't like Romney much, but he'd be a 100% improvement over the current occupier.SnotBubbles;1038812 wrote:I don't get how Romney is a loser in Iowa. I've heard it several times. "no surprise that the center of the Catholic Church abuse took place in very liberal, or perhaps the nation's most liberal area, Boston.". He tried blaming the political opinions of Boston for the sexual abuses of clergy. Fucking ridiculous.BGFalcons82;1038908 wrote:I'll agree Dukakis was a loser, but Bob Dole may have been an even larger turd for the R's.

Santorum has said that he feels banning contraceptives is an acceptable action for a state. I didn't make that up. He's also absurdly anti-gay, like he's obsessed with it.majorspark;1038905 wrote:And I have been told Ron Paul hates blacks, the Russians and Chinese will take over, and it wil be only a matter of time before an Iranian nuke goes off in an American city. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/12/rick-santorum-has-tense-exchange-on-gay-rights-and-health-care-in-iowa/
“So what is going to be taught to our people in health class in our schools? What is going to be taught to our children about who in our stories, even to little children — what are married couples? What families look like in America? So, you are going to have in our curriculum spread throughout our curriculum worldview that is fundamentally different than what is taught in schools today? Is that not a consequence of gay marriage?”
To that I simply say:

I Wear Pants"One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country.” And also, “Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that’s okay, contraception is okay. It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”
Santorum is nuts.
