Rahm, not a citizen of Chicago

  • Belly35
Rahm ….. you have to live in Chicago to be Chicago Mayor ..

What does Obama and Rahm have in common? You make up your own punch line..

Rahm off the Chicago Mayor ballot …residency requirement failure

    …… Don’t you just love it….

Note, I changed the thread title, hope you don't mind Belly.

Yes, I do love it as I've never been a fan of Rahm.

I am also pretty happy with this.

    Rahm's a jackass, I don't think anybody likes him.

    Haha, priceless.

I'm betting a certain judge receives a dead fish in the near future. :)

You left out 'vitriolic' ..... did you forget your talking points memo this morning?

No surprise.....a dem who believes that the rules don't apply to him.
  • I Wear Pants
I don't like this guy too much and it's pretty funny that he spent all that time and money to what looks like no avail.
  • jhay78
At least he used to live there a few years ago, unlike Hillary who ran for and won a Senate seat in New York.
  • Writerbuckeye
Well, thanks to the Supreme Court of Illinois, he's still on the ballot while they sort this out. Anyone want to take bets he ends up as the next mayor?

Chicago and Illinois graft and corruption knows few limits.

Predictable and probable. Another prediction: The leftist media will choose to ignore the typical corrupt Chicago-land political intrigue and shenanigans after Dead Fish becomes mayor.

I saw a poll on one of the MSM networks which indicated Rahm was up by a 2 to 1 margin on his potential competition in Chicago. It's baffling to me. It's as if these people in Chicago, SF, NYC, etc. are from another country as of the rest of us. Even people I know who I would call liberal think this guy is a buffoon.

Remember the news story a while back that said liberalism was a mental illness?

Well, that would certainly explain how some of these cities (like Chicago, Detroit, Washington, etc.) continually elect the same types of people over and over, all while their cities go down the crapper.
  • BGFalcons82
writerb - Cali just elected Governor Moonbeam....again. That's all you need to know about liberalism. When you've dug yourself a deep hole, the only way out is to dig faster.

    WTF
Judges and Lawyers, high court, lower court .......................... Rahm back on the ballot and back in the running for Mayor ..... why do we even have laws and rules anymore?

    Guess he is a citizen.
    Hopefully, he does not win.

Wait, you know what, it is better for him to screw up and stay in Chicago, instead of DC. So, I hope Chicago votes for him so DC doesn't get to deal with him.
  • Writerbuckeye
He'd already burned his bridges in DC, so I don't think he would be coming back there, regardless.

However, if the people of Chicago are so stupid as to elect this crook, then let them wallow in the shit he'll bring down on them.
  • believer
Chicago will elect him because they love electing corrupt politicians. They deserve a Dead Fish mayor.

It was the Ill Supremes decision that it was not his intent to move out of Chicago, so they can't hold that little rule against him that says he has to live there for a year prior to the election. Hmmm...let's play that out a little. "Your honor, it was not my client's intention to rape and murder that woman." "Your honor, it was not my client's intention to falsify his tax return." "Your honor, my client intended to pay for the plasma TV he took from Best Buy."

Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.

Isn't that the tag line of the Chicago Political Machine?

As a resident of Southwestern Illinois, I have come to dislike all things Chicago. Rahm will win this election because the others running are complete idiots. One thing's for certain, though. No matter who they elect, Chicago will have the most influence over the state legislature and get more than the lion's share of the state budget. I'm somewhat surprised that this election has such interest in Ohio, however. There is more talk about this on this website than in any of our local papers. We simply don't give a shit anymore, because no matter who gets elected, Democrat or Republican, nothing will change.

    Republican?

Who was the last Republican mayor of Chicago?
