RIP...Chalmers Johnson

  • Footwedge
A distinguished man and a veteran of war as a naval officer, this once proud American became disillusioned with American hegemony...and was the author of several ourstanding books...including "Blowback"....a term originally coined by our Central Intelligence Agency.

It's remarkable that oh so many veterans from yesteryear, have come to understand that living by the sword and dying by the sword is more than a Biblical verse.

    RIP Mr. Johnson.

I read "Sorrows of Empires" while I was interning here in DC for a semester under the John Glenn Fellowship at OSU. I disagreed with much of the book, but really respected his arguments and the frame he framed his book and logical progression.
He then spoke to the group of fellows and while I disagree with him, guy was sharp.

Nemesis is on my book shelf on the list of books to read.
    RIP Chalmers
