    The slams were well earned. It was the worst, most biased coverage I've ever seen. With every Republican victory, the talk turned to how the Republicans were set up for civil war and it was all going to come crashing down. Not much analysis about the actual races, the impact to voters or anything rational, reasonable or intelligent.

    It was a bunch of emotion-laden claptrap, led by Olberdouche.

    Yeah, I tried to watch a minute of MSNBC and I literally couldn't. It was disgusting.

    I tuned in to watch some of the election night coverage.... Wow, I could not believe what I was witnessing! Why do I go there when I know I am going to get pissed off? Well, I am reading a book right now that deals with how to raise a child... the book talks about how logic/facts are not what is important, but what the parent needs to understand is how the child truly perceives the situation to be true... One has to know what the child is thinking to understand them. Therefore, I feel like have have to try to understand how a left-leaning person thinks, to be able to try to understand and enlighten them :). The highlight was O'Donnell talking about how the GOP had a poor night... with the economy as bad as it is right now the GOP should have had bigger gains. Wow. It was tough to watch though...

    Olbermann is the reason I quit watching ESPN Sportscenter... I did not think it was possible for that to happen, but he did it. He thought he was the show instead of reporting the sports. (This is the same reason I do not watch much of O'Reilly either.)

    In case you're interested: sportscenter never got any better after he left. In fact, it just got worse and worse. I don't watch, anymore, but on a rare occasion I'll turn it on just to see if things have changed. They haven't. That whole network is awful. If anyone else carried the games, I'd never watch one second of it.

    Not that I mind seeing bad things happen to Olbermann, but the MSNBC stance in the whole thing is laughable. I understand he violated their policy, and they had to enforce it (or look for a reason to get rid of him), but why are their on-air hosts prohibited from contributing to campaigns? Are we supposed to believe that one who doesn't contribute to a campaign is somehow credible, ethical, "above it all", and of sound mind? Cause none of those adjectives describes Olbermann, campaign contributor or not.

    This would be beautiful... picture this... Mr. Olbermann looking for a job... Lo and behold, who comes a calling? Fox news!! Would he take the job from the very company that he despises? He can truly be part of "Fair and balanced" - He could have a conversation with someone with a differing opinion... Oh the possibilities!

    I agree no employee should have to report how they spend their private funds to management. It was MSNBC's management that chose these people to cover election night. Knowing full well what their political stances were. Their decision resulted in a clusterfuck. Many times when management screws up, the shit rolls down hill. Ridding themselves of Olberman will not solve their problems.

    Don't know how media companies do it now, but when I was a reporter for a major newspaper chain, it was policy that you did not donate to ANY candidate or party. It was considered unethical for a journalist to show bias with their checkbook. You were supposed to remain politically "chaste" as it were. I'm not surprised many journalism entities still have such rules -- especially one as overtly biased as MSNBC.

    Now, I would not be surprised if Fox (the left's evil empire) has the same rule for its news people. Entertainers, like Hannity and O'Reilly probably don't fall under that umbrella, since they aren't expected to be unbiased.

    I can understand reporters, anchors, and true "journalists" being forbidden from contributing to campaigns, but it's the job and responsibility of opinion people to be "biased". Let them contribute, give campaign speeches, whatever. I certainly wouldn't look at Olbermann any differently if he didn't donate to political candidates.

    It doesn't have the same rules. That is part of why the left became enraged, and also tried to use that as an example of how Fox is a political organization rather than news network because they are the only one who doesn't have such a rule on donations of the big networks.

    In a further update, the left has claimed their only victory of the week because Olbermann will be back on Tuesday night according to the guy Phil Griffin (the guy who suspended him). They made a huge stink about this, and the network obviously has buckled instead of prolonging his punishment.

    I just found a link to this, very amusing. Had they worked as hard to get liberals elected as they did to get K.O back on tv the US would be a socialist utopia right now. They cobbled together 300,000 signatures within 48 hours I guess, which frankly is kind of impressive (but at the same time very sad).

    Now everyone go and make sure you sign the congratulation card.
