How could this be??? I thought they were untouchable? I mean when you talk quality, you talk Toyota. Largest car maker in AMERICA. We love our Toyotas here in America. You want quality...you buy a Toyota.

Four Million Vehicles recalled....and the problem here is WHAT.....Floor Mats???? Are you kidding me? Keep it up America. Blind as bats.

You realize this "recall" has all to do with avoiding lawsuits, has nothing to do with the quality of the vehicle. I don't even think my FIL (who has an Avalon) is even bothering taking his car in.

Car mats? Are you kidding me? Recall for car mats? wow
  • Con_Alma
    No publicity is bad publicity????

If their biggest concern is managing potential lawsuits by recalling cars due to floor mats...I'll buy one.

Ok, so what does this have to do with car quality?

If this is their biggest concern, i'm all for them.

    But, i drive a Subaru.

Nope, never, ever had a bumper sticker on a car of mine. :D

I owned a Toyota or two along the way and never had a moment's trouble with anything. And, amazingly, that would include the floor mats. I would buy another one but I do not own one at the present. I like Ford products best and I always have. the Toyotas were always quite well used when I bought them and served as transportation cars for me to use to go to work.

I currently own three Toyotas and love them! The last "American" car I owned was a 2000 Chevy Lumina which proudly displayed a sticker on the inside of the driver's door sporting a Canadian flag which read, "Made in Canada."

I got sick and tired of my Fords and Chevy's breaking down and needing major repair once they reached 65,000 miles.

I have always had Honda/Acura and I love them.

Regardless of the make..ALL cars have there problems..I've had Fords that I rarely had any issues with..I've had Toyotas that had all kinds of problems. But I've also had Fords with problems and Toyotas that ran great.

On the topic..I don't see anything wrong with it..ridiculous? of course..but they are just covering there ass against any lawsuits IMO.
