  i'm not a member of any political party, nor do I affiliate with one. I vote for whoever I feel best fits my views. I usually give each candidate a grade on certain issues (from 1-10) and vote for the one who grades the highest

  If Huckabee had won the GOP nomination I would have voted for him and it wouldn't have been nearly as hard of a decision for me between Mccain and Obama. Depending on who his running mate was, of course.

  As of now, I will never vote for a democrat so my only decisions would be between republicans and tea party members. I will also never vote for Sarah Palin.

  As of right now, don't see myself voting for a democrat. They've put us in a huge hole all across the board in this country, and it will come down to who represents my views on the republican side.
  
  As for Palin, she brings just as much to the table as Barack Hussein Obama did. If the electorate could vote for him in the last election, then it would be no surprise if they'd vote for her.

  As a conservative the only reason I choose Republicans is because I haven't seen a neo-Democrat come anywhere near my political beliefs. It's an unfortunate fact but it is what it is.

  Yes, and we were told by Obama things would change. The change has been for the worse, so now it's time to kick them out.

  Tom Barrett, the mayor of Milwaukee who is running from WI governor, but mostly because he's running against a guy who didn't impress me at all in the R primary.

  maybe Evan Bayh of Indiana....Ben Nelson of Nebraska. Those guys are pretty moderate. The Democratic party is such anaethema....ugh..... just thinking about voting for one nauseates me.

  ^^^ I would have voted for Bayh before he voted against John Roberts' SCOTUS confirmation. Pure party-line BS.

  Pretty much the only Republican at the moment I can rule out entirely would be Palin. I don't really have a problem with anyone else in the party.

  Using full disclosure here... I am a republican... I have voted for a Democrat before on a city level. The last election was the first time I ever voted for a Democrat on the National level... U.S. House of Representative Zach Space. I will not make the same mistake the next time!!
  
  I really thought he would be a candidate that would do what is right for the district, be an incredible asset to our immediate area, and not tow the Democratic/Pelosi line, but he has failed tremendously representing the majority beliefs of his district!!!
  
  I will again and probably always vote for a national republican candidate... although I am not always crazy about them either. This politics is tough, tough, tough! Very upsetting to those who truly care!

  Unfortunately, politicians are not free thinkers. They run with the pack, which means a vote must be a party vote and not a vote for an individual thinker. Disregard everything that is said during the campaign because it means nothing. The politician will vote the party line because getting re-elected is more important than voting with integrity.

  In today's world, I'm with ya 100%.
  
  What if there were term limits and the impetus for re-election is removed?
  What if people actually vote the way their constituents want and not the way the Speaker of the House tells them to vote?
  What if true statesmen were in Congress and not professional hookers masquerading as representatives and senators?
  What if our congressmen empowered people and not government?
  
  BTW - when's the last time it happened that a new bill gave more rights to individuals and took away regulation and control from government? I don't know the answer, but I can't think of any. Civil rights legislation of the 60's comes close, but they created governmental agencies and bureaucrats to monitor and control the new legislation. Even if this is the answer, when was it...45 years ago?
