Al CaponeJust kill them on site. Then they cant complain.

CenterBHSFanOn one hand I know that there are rules of engagement/conduct and laws and all that, and I'm not trying to discredit them.
On the other hand, we are getting to a point where we are essentially tying one hand behind their backs.
What's next? Do we send them to trial for farting in the mess hall?
I think our soldiers should be accountable for their actions, if they commit atrocities and such. I do not think that this was an atrocity. It appears to me that this bloody lip and/or punch to the stomach occured during the take-down?
So, I guess my ultimate question would be - when are we going to start showing the wisdom of discretion concerning situations such as these? -
matdadTerrorists are not enemy combatants. They are terrorists. We have become too soft in this country. They blow up innocent women and children and yet have we bend over backwards giving them the very rights they despise us for having. Why is this lunatic out of Fort Hood getting a civilian trial in New York? Why is the commander who authorized the SEALS to take out the Somali pirates on Easter facing disciplinary measures?

dwccrewIf they are being charged for beating him, then you have to charge over half of the police officers in this country when they rough up suspects and/or beat them.

because they do. i have heard it from the horse's mouth. or its atleast what the dirt bag i talked to was told to say. the thing is, in the media, it sounds better to say "they are in our in homeland". its not their only reason, its just one of them.cbus4life wrote: They don't despise us for our rights. http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/terror/RL32759.pdfStatements attributed to Bin Laden and Al Zawahiri since 2001 have promised further attacks and sought to justify Al Qaeda’s targeting of American and British civilians by arguing that Western societies are morally corrupt, recent democratic reform and human rights initiatives are insincere or bankrupt, and American and British civilians should be held accountable for the policies of their democratically elected governments in the Middle East that Al Qaeda finds objectionable or unjust. -
