I understand your point.
We, however, offend potential customers all the time when we refuse or decline to accept certain new clients. We don't want everybody. We know exactly who we serve best and we market to them. When others come to us that have been suggested by other clients or family members that don't fit our profile we turn them away or suggest another firm. It insults them and it's still the right thing to do for my business. -

Con, I am happy for you and your firm... (I probably should have used the wording.... Many businesses can not afford to turn away customers by offending them on this topic). I also realize not all businesses run on the same type of business model. Many businesses are better served to have customers with very similar interests and beliefs. It is not possible with all businesses.Con_Alma wrote: "Running a business today, one can not afford to offend any customers (I owe that to the owner of the store), period. ..."

I am happy that your firm can select your customers to better suit the client... and the business model. This allows your firm to provide excellent customer service... to the same type(s) of consumer.
Unfortunately, it will not work with our business. Price points of our product will segregate our customers by income level, but will not differentiate by religous beliefs, or lack thereof... We would have to close the doors. -
Con_AlmaAs previously stated...I do understand the challenge for most.
I was simply providing an example, one with which I am most familar, to contend with the definitive statement you offered. -

Sorry con.... no problem here with what you said. My first statement was too vague and too definitive.... I was just trying to clarify a little. Have a good one.Con_Alma wrote: As previously stated...I do understand the challenge for most.

Con_AlmaLOL. When you posted "Have a good one." I chuckled a little.
Happy Thanksgiving to you No Snow. Best of luck with the business you are employed at. -
TimberLOL I was going to put a wink on that one... but I had "faith" that you would get "it." Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well...
