Ron Paul Correct yet again....

Like I said...you just aren't understanding what I'm saying about me not bothering to present my argument.

If you thought the sky was blue and it was really black and I presented an argument to say it was black, you'd still say it was blue. Perception, yours is different than mine but time proves one side of every theory right.

Alright chief. When that glorious moment hits, let us know.
  • SQ_Crazies
Trust me, I won't have to. And because of our strategy, the "moment" may never get off the ground.

    That's not how this works.

You haven't even said the sky is black.

If I say the Indian's are a great baseball team and then you show a bunch of statistics (there are lots) showing that they are in fact, a terrible team. I would believe you.

If you won't even present your opinion because you're afraid people will disagree with you then why do you even bother to post?

Not sure why everyone always wants to say history repeats it self but then not remember what we learned from it.

Haha, we will agree with you when the time comes that the brilliance will be clear but that time might not come because the strategy makes sure that it's brilliance is never seen?

We learned that invading countries works out in the end?

Wow dude, you're so lost. But showing me exactly why I didn't bother presenting my argument.
  • I Wear Pants
You're the one not making any sense.

"You'll understand in due time" is a bullshit way of explaining your position.

Well, God has never shown me a damn thing, because he doesn't exist. I won't claim to talk to God directly, like good ole GW said he did, haha. But we'd have spared numerous American and Middle Eastern lives, saved massive amounts of money which would have kept the deficit down, and with an emphasis on a strong DEFENSE, pretty sure nothing would have happened. 2,900 civilians died in 9/11 (and it was horrible), over 100,000 civilians have died in Iraq since we've been there. We've had not attacks like 9/11 again, and it's not because we are fighting there, it's because we've secured our homeland better. 9/11 was a once in a century type thing.

We can accomplish much more with peace than we can with war. ~Ron Paul~ We've done better with Vietnam and Korea since the wars than we ever did during the wars or shortly after. Peace works.
    1. 100,000 is just an estimate, not a count. It is also not just civilians, it includes enemy combatants and civilians killed by Iraqi's themselves with road side bombs, etc.
    2. One could make the argument that 100,000 Iraqi's dead is less than what would have been dead if Hussein was still in power since some estimates put his own number in his 23 years at 800,000 Iraqi's dead.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War_death_toll

Look at the link, the 100,000 refers to civilians killed through violent combat, not the ones that weren't civilians but "insurgents". Count the ones we were actually targeting and it gets more insane. One estimate is in the millions in the total conflict.

About point 2, it's not our job to protect them. I would take that many Iraqi deaths to save the lives of our American troops, because what they do is none of our business, as long as they don't attack us. (again, under the current situation with us occupying their land, they will want to attack us, so we need to not only stop the wars but leave all those bases immediately as well).

What part of I'm not going to waste time typing out my position because no matter what I say I already know you won't agree with me don't you understand?

Then why even post what you did in the thread if you aren't going to bother telling us what your position it?

You've wasted more time responding to us telling you that it's stupid to not post your position than you would have by typing it out.

Wow "I have this great idea, well it's not mine but GWs, but it is going to be so awesome when it's realized, but it may not be realized because our strategy now is holding it back." LOL Sounds like a 5th grade level argument. I am very open minded SQ, change my mind continuously. Enlighten me on your idea please. If it truly has merit, I'll look into it.

Unlike you, I (and others on here) am not afraid of having my views ridiculed, and believe strongly in them. How strongly can you believe if you won't even put it out in the open? Must be a lame argument that has very little merit.

About WMDs, with our current foreign policy we actually encourage nations to try and get WMDs. They realize the only nations above attack from us are nations that have nukes. If they can get a nuke, they think they'll be secure from our attacks (some merit to the argument). We think the Middle Eastern countries are bullies, but unfortunately the US is the biggest bully in the world.

Our attacks in Afghanistan are now on their opium fields, because the terrorists are in the drug market and making money off it. You know how to stop terrorists getting money from drugs, you LEGALIZE them. You not only get the money from it, you save money from not attacking their opium fields. I could go on a long time about foreign policy, but am too intrigued to find out yours SQ. Looking forward to that response.

Well what about me SQ, I started a thread about invading Iran so perhaps my views towards Iranian foreign policy or more in line with what you're suggesting. If you don't want to post it in the thread...perhaps P.M. me your position?

I can't throw my two cents in?

BoatShoes--PM me if you're really that interested, I'm about to down this last beer and head for an exam at 7 so I don't really have time right now. And I may forget.

You aren't throwing your two cents in though. You're saying that you have two cents but we can't see them because we wouldn't understand them or we'd tell you they aren't valid because they're Canadian pennies.

You guys are wayyyyyy too into this SQ thing. After 4 pages, you're still like little kids pestering the parents about getting a puppy.

    LOL!

I mean, I can understand hounding somebody a few times because it can be interesting and fun.
    But 4 pages? really?

Canadian pennies are worth just about the same as U.S. pennies.

He's brought up this "G.W. is a genius and you'll all see it later" in several other threads too. We just want him to explain what that even means.
